Replacement Boat Trailer Keel Roller and Bracket for 1996 Calkins Boat Trailer

Updated 06/16/2015 | Published 06/14/2015

Question:

I have a 1996 Calkins boat trailer and I need to replace the keel roller assemblies. I am looking for a suitable replacement for the current assembly. I can not find anything that looks similar and the corrosion is so bad, I would prefer to replace the assembly altogether. Can I simply put a single roller where the current assembly attaches? If able, I have pictures that I can send so that you can see what I am talking about.

The linked page will show you all replacement keel rollers which are offered in both black rubber and non-marking thermoplastic varieties. You can use the filters on the page to narrow the results based on your preferred type and roller length, which ranges from 5- to 18-inches. The internal shaft diameter of all rollers we offer is either 5/8-inch or 1/2-inch so you'll want to check your existing bracket if it will be re-used.

We also offer complete roller-with-bracket assemblies, shown on the other link, which may be easier for you if your existing bracket is badly corroded. For example, if you want a 12-inch non-marking roller with bracket you can use # CE10455G. You will supply your own galvanized or stainless steel fasteners for installation.

By all means feel free to submit photos of your boat trailer if you're having trouble finding a suitable keel roller and/or mounting bracket for it. Your photos always help us and may also help other readers having the same issue. You can simply reply to this email to attach your images.
