Question:
I have a Mazda Speed3 Hatchback and I am looking for a hitch to carry a bike rack. I already have a Yakima Kingpin 4 Y02441 bike rack. In the QandA section it mentioned that only 2 bike carriers should be used with Class 1 Hitches only size offered on Mazda 3. Is it possible to use the 4 bike Yakima carrier on a Class 1 hitch with only 2 bikes mounted on it? Also, what weight bike is being used for the 2 bike rule? Thank you.

I have a solution for you. You would want the Curt hitch part # C11383 as it will allow a Class II and up bike rack like your # Y02458 to install in it. However, you will need to be sure to only carry up to two bikes with it and you will have to use a stabilizer strap like the part # 18050 as this is a Curt hitch requirement.
I attached a review video for the Curt strap for you to check out as well as an install video for the hitch.
