Can you confirm that the frame really needs to be drilled to install this kits brackets?

I have a no-drill Demco rail kit solution for your 2014 Ram 3500, but the # DM8551006 does require drilling of the frame. However, if you have the UMS hitch this would be your only option.
The part # DM8552026 is another option for you to consider as it is a no-drill install. This will fit all fifth wheel hitches that are designed to fit industry standard rails.
