Question:

Which trailer hitch would best serve for transporting a 45lb 11 ft. kayak, no more than 10 miles daily and could also recommend an inexpensive folding trailer one that can be folded for storage in my garage for that hitch?

For your 2006 Lexus IS 250 there is only one option that we carry, part # C11372. This hitch would do a great job towing a very lightweight trailer and kayak like you referenced as long as the trailer weighs 2,000 lbs or less when loaded and has a tongue weight of 200 lbs or less when loaded. I attached an install video for you to check out as well.

If the trailer requires a 2 inch ball you would want part # C45572 or for a 1-7/8 inch ball part # C45571. For trailer wiring part # C59496.

We don't carry any folding trailers, but the Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer (although not inexpensive), part # Y08106 would do a great job carrying your kayak. When not in use it can tilt back to take up less space.
