The TracRac TracONE Truck Bed Ladder Rack # TH27000XT-EX that you referenced is a near-universal-fit ladder rack system that will work fine on your 2008 F-150 Stepside. The crossbars on this rack have a slot in the bottom that allows for a good fit on various bed widths. It also fits 5-1/2-, 6-1/2- and 8-foot bed lengths. The linked video illustrates installation in an F-150.
