Can a Trailer Without Brakes Have Electric Brakes Installed

Question:
I am wanting to put a set of electric brakes on my 14 foot single axle trailer with a 3500 lb.axle...it has none on it now...is this possible and if so what type kit would I use...thanks

There is a way to install electric brakes on a trailer like yours that does not have them. I attached a help article that will walk you through the entire process, but basically you will first need to determine what spindles you have on your trailer so that you can determine what hub/drums would fit and then piece it together from that point.
If you do not have a brake controller picked out for your tow vehicle I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. This is a proportional brake controller that senses the amount of braking the tow vehicle is applying and applies a proportionate amount to the trailer brakes.
