Question:
How do the Derale plate and fin transmission coolers compare to the tru-cool plate and fin transmission coolers? looking at Derale D13503/D13504 or tru-cool 4454/4490. This is for a 2010 Honda Odyssey EX, we pull a jayco tent trailer 1300 gvw empty with it as well as hauling teenagers to various places. Also does it need an additional power steering cooler or is the stock on OK.

When you want to install a transmission fluid cooler or power steering cooler, the most important thing to note is the location for best efficiency. The larger the cooler, the more efficient it will work. I have attached a drawing that shows the best place to mount a cooler on a vehicle. You want to measure to make sure you have room to mount any cooler you choose.
The Derale Transmission Cooler, part # D13503, is a plate-fin cooler and measures 11 x 8-3/4 x 7/8 inches, and would do a nice job for you. Since we do not carry the other model cooler you mentioned I cannot give you an assessment or comparison between the 2 different coolers.
If you feel you need a cooler for the power steering fluid, we offer several of those as well. I have attached a link to our product page for the power steering coolers we carry like part # D13200. This cooler is a dual-pass tube-fin cooler that measures 12-5/8 x 2-1/2 x 3/4 inches.
