There are a few things that could be causing your 1969 Jeep to not follow straight behind your tow vehicle using a tow bar like the Roadmaster # RM-501.

1. Double check your ball mount and ensure there isn't any movement. If there is movement, you can use a Roadmaster Quiet Hitch # RM-061 because it will help with rattling and shifting in your receiver hitch.

2. Take a look at your coupler and properly lube it with lithium grease # LM54FR. Make sure you clean off any and all existing grease.

3. You can use a bungee cord on your steering wheel and tighten it to the 6-O'clock position so if it does veer to one side or another, it will correct itself.

4. Your 1969 Jeep alignment could be off.

I included a video review of the Roadmaster tow bar and an informative article.
