Question:
How can you tell if a 2004 gmc sierra 1500 is an HD or LD? I am looking for a front hitch for this truck but I have been told it is an 1500 HD.

Helpful Expert Reply:
If your 2004 GMC Sierra is a 1500HD it will have a badge on the side of the truck that says 1500HD. If it is an LD model it won't have anything on the side of it. You can also call a GMC dealer in your area with the VIN of your truck and they will be able to tell.
If you do have an HD model you would want the Draw-Tite part # 65028 as a front hitch, or if you have an LD model you would want the Curt part # 31302.
