The red lever on the Fifth Wheel to Gooseneck Cushioned Trailer Adapter, item # CAB-C5G, should be installed to the drivers side of the bed of the truck. This makes for easier locking and opening of the gooseneck adapter.
It has been a while since I have looked at one of these. I was pretty sure that there is a sticker that shows the front side of the adapter. I went out to the warehouse and checked to be sure and there is a sticker, labeled front, on the left side of the coupler when looking at it with the red handle facing you.
