Troubleshooting Boat Trailer Left Side Taillight Not Functioning

Question:
Everything on the trailer works fine- But the left side tail light. When I first conected trailer plug to veichle everything worked. Then left side tail light stopped working altogether signal, brake,taillight But everything on Right side works fine. Didnt have trailer on trailer hitch,but beleive have good ground.Also looked at bulb it looked bad,so replaced bulb new bulb didnt light up,so seems like not getting any power to left side. Please Help!

It really sounds like the problem is the ground of the left side light assembly. A lot of assemblies ground through their mounting hardware so be sure that the assembly is connected to a clean metal surface. Running a jumper wire from the mounting post of the assembly to the main ground of the trailer may help as well.
