Can Sealed, 3-Light Truck Trailer Identification LED Light Bar # MCL97RB be Mounted Horizontally
Updated 03/11/2015 | Published 03/09/2015 >
Question:
Can I mount these lights flat on top of the roof of my horse trailer, so they are pointed up? Or do they need to face the rear to be visible? Thank you.

I spoke with my contact at Optronics and yes, the Sealed, 3-Light Truck, Trailer Identification LED Light Bar, # MCL97RB, can be mounted on the roof of your horse trailer. When mounted horizontally, the light will be visible from the rear of the trailer but won't be at the same intensity as if it was mounted on the rear of the trailer facing back.
Please keep in mind that since the intensity of the light will be decreased when mounted on the roof, it will not meet DOT regulations.
