Question:
I currently have a 2003 Ford F250 Super-Duty that I just put a Reese Pro Series 16K Fifth Wheel Hitch in approximately 2 months ago. However I just purchased a 2010 Dodge 3500 Crew Cab Dually that I would like to swap it over to. What hardware if any do I need? I have read something about a rail adapter kit if it has overload springs. I have also read something about spacers. Also what Y adapter do I need for my 7-way plug to be able to have one in my bed? Thanks

If your 16K Reese Pro Series fifth-wheel included the universal rail installation kit and you are just wanting to move the universal kit into your new truck, replacement hardware for the kit would be part # 58164. You will also need to replace two of the frame brackets with part # RP58186.
To move your current fifth wheel to your 2010 Dodge 3500, you could also install fifth-wheel rail kit # 50140-58. You would not need additional spacers or adapters, as this kit is custom fit to the 2010 Dodge Ram, and will work well on a dually model.
I would, however, note that if your Dodge Crew Cab model has a 6 foot bed, but your 2003 F-250 had an 8 foot bed, you would need to purchase a slider unit # RP30048 and replace the current fifth wheel legs. This would be done to maintain proper clearance between the trailer and your cab when turning. Please note that when converting from fixed legs to slider legs, you will lose the lowest head height setting.
To wire your truck, you can use fifth-wheel wiring # C56000, which allows you to retain use of your 7-way plug near the bumper.
I have included some links to the rail kit installation instructions, as well as an installation video. There is also a link to the universal rail kit instructions, if needed.
