To use the Roadmaster Falcon 2 tow bar # RM-520 with Blue Ox base plates # BX2633 you will need to use adapter # RM-031.
In addition to the base plates, tow bar, and the adapter, you will also need safety cables, lighting, and supplemental braking.
For safety cables, if you do not have some already, I recommend # RM-643. The coiled design helps keep the cables off of the ground.
For lighting the easiest solution is to use a magnetic kit such as # RM-2120. Also, for the 2012-2014 Ford Focus it looks like you will need to disconnect the battery to flat tow automatic transmission versions. To keep a maintenance charge on the battery I recommend using a harness such as # BX88206 with the tow bar wiring you will be using so that you can run a wire from the connector at the front of the truck to the vehicle battery.
There are a couple of ways to do this. First, you can tap into the running light circuit in the tow bar wiring but to provide power to the battery the RV running lights would have to be on all the time. Or if the connector at the back of the RV has a working 12 volt circuit you could use that circuit instead.
Which ever way you choose you would just attach the wire to the appropriate corresponding pin at the back of the connector that will be at the front of the truck and the other end of that wire will go to the positive battery terminal.
And finally, most states now require supplemental braking on the vehicle being flat towed. One of the preferred systems of our installers here is the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO, # SM99251. This is a proportional system that applies the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. This is the safest way to stop and it reduces wear and tear on both vehicles.
