Question:
I have a 2004 carry on 6x12 utility trailer. I measured the inner part of the cap and its 2in. What bearing buddy would work for my trailer? Noticed there 1.98 and 2.04 sizing

You'll need to use an accurate measuring device like a digital caliper to measure the inside diameter of the hub bore. A ruler or tape measure wouldn't be accurate enough. I have attached a photo of a hub that shows where the measurement should be taken.
If you measure and find the opening to be 1.98 inches then the Bearing Buddy I recommend is part # BB1980A-SS.
If you find that the inside hub bore measures 2.047 inches, part # BB2047SS would work well for you.
If you find that the inside bore of your hub is a different size than those mentioned above, you can check out the attached link to the product page for the Bearing Buddys we offer and use the menu to find the right size for your trailer.
