B and W Companion Hitch Recommendation for a 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500HD with 8 ft Bed

I have an 02 Silverado 2500HD. Considering a new 5th wheel hitch and like the B and W companion. Will it work with the Curt under bed gooseneck hitch? Is there any advantage to it over the B and W gooseneck under bed hitch if it is compatible. Also would like to know if the head design on the patriot is the same or different than the companion. Other than the companion fastening to the gooseneck are there other things that make the companion superior to the patriot? Thanks,

The Curt gooseneck hitch part # C60712 is not compatible with the B and W Companion hitch so I would not recommend it for you.
Your best option would be to install the B and W Fifth Wheel Installation Kit # BWGNRK1059-5W and then use the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # BWRVK3500-5W.
The head design is the same between the Companion hitch and the Patriot B and W hitches.
