Question:
Im looking at electric break controllers on your website. When it says with factory 7 way does it mean that if my vehicle already has the 7 way trailer adaptor already? Im trying to install a controller on a 2013 ford E250 super duty extended cargo van. I also plan to install the 7 pin receptacle. I was hoping that I could get the wiring attachment which I have already identified. I was looking at controllers on your site. I already have one but would be willing to get a better one that the cable will adapt to. I dont need anything fancy just basic and effective. looking forward to your comments.

With Factory 7-Way means your vehicle already has a 7-Way connector at the rear of your vehicle.
It sounds like your 2013 Ford E 250 Cargo Van is not equipped with a tow package, so you will need to start by installing a 4-way connector like the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness, # C56020. This connector plugs directly into your existing wiring with no cutting or splicing required.
Next you will need a 7-way connector. The Universal Installation Kit, # ETBC7, kit includes the wiring and accessories needed to install the 7-way connector and a trailer brake controller in your cargo van.
For a brake controller I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3, # 90195. The P3 is a proportional controller which activates immediately and in proportion to the brakes in the van.
To connect to the brake stop light switch in the van, you will need to use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993, to locate the wire that carries a signal only when the brake pedal is engaged.
I have attached a few videos and an article for you as well as the installation instructions.
