The Chevrolet logo item you referenced, Reese's Chevrolet Bowtie LED Lighted Vehicle Emblem # RP86618, will install using the included heavy-duty tape. This LED logo can be installed in place of your existing bowtie tailgate logo or be used along with it if you prefer. The heavy-duty tape allows for placement in just about any location on the vehicle.
This officially licensed LED-lighted Chevrolet logo features two levels of illumination, low illumination while you're using taillights and high illumination when you brake or turn on the hazard lights. The emblem hardwires into vehicle's taillights with included quick-splice connectors.
You will use a simple circuit tester like # PTW2993 to identify your vehicle wires' functions. If your vehicle has a 2-wire system, in which one wire is used for both the brake light and turn signal functions, you will install the included converter to ensure correct performance.
