Troubleshooting 7-Way Connector On 2006 Ford F-150 With No Right Turn Signal

Question:

I have no power to right turn , either trailer outlet at hitch

It sounds like you have a broken or loose wire on your vehicle. You can use a tester like part # PTW2993 and check the pins in the trailer connector to make sure the right turn signal is the only one that is not functioning.

If you find that it is the only one that is not working, you would then check the wires on the back of the connector to see if you have current going into the connector. I have attached a photo of a 7-way connector that shows the pin location for the right turn signal on a traditional 7-way connector you can check out.

If there is no signal going into the connector then there is a problem with the vehicle wiring. You can check for blown fuses and any of the installation points to make sure everything is connected properly.

If the right turn signal is working on your vehicle but not on your connector, you may have a loose ground. Check the white wire to make sure it is attached to a clean, bare metal surface.
