Question:
I have a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban K2500 6.5 Diesel 4x4 and a Falcon All Terrain tow bar on my RV. Will the Roadmaster Base Plates for the 1999 Chevrolet Suburban work with this tow bar and vehicle?

Expert Reply:
Yes, you can flat tow your 1999 Chevrolet Suburban using the Roadmaster MX Base Plate Kit, part # 3101-1 with the RoadMaster Falcon All Terrain Tow Bar, part # RM-522.
I have included installation instructions for these parts as well as an installation video of this tow bar installed on a Chevrolet Sonic. The vehicle is different but the installation will be similar.
For lighting there are several options. If you will not be towing often then I recommend a magnetic kit like # RM-2120. If you will be towing often then a more permanent solution like # RM-154 would be the way to go. I have included a couple of tow wiring FAQ articles for you to check out.
You will also want a supplemental braking system so your RV or the tow vehicle does not have to do all the braking itself. Many states require a supplemental braking system for flat-towing. I recommend Roadmaster Even Brake Portable Proportional Braking System # RM-9400. This system has an inertia-activated proportional braking for quicker and safer stops, and provides less wear and tear on your vehicle and motor home.
Check out the FAQ on supplemental braking systems I have attached.
