etrailer was quick to ship and part worked great. Its still working after 1 year.

by:

After getting home from a trip to South Dakota I tried to open the slideouts on my 2007 Cardinal 5TH wheel. I pushed the "out" button but nothing happened. After testing several components I came to the conclussion that the Polarity Reversing Solenoid was bad. I went online to Etrailer, found what I needed and placed the order. Within 5 days the part arrived and I installed it. The slides extended and now I'm able to go on our Fall trip up North. The only problem is the replacement part does not have the bracket that holds the solenoid to the top of the pump motor. The original part has a unremovable bracket. I did find a way to attach the solenoid so all is good.

by:

It was the right part and shipped fast. It worked to solve my slider issue for a 2005 42 foot Wildwood Travel Trailer with 3 slides. Yes 3 Slides. Not 2. So this was the exact replacement part used by Wildwood by Forest River, and saved me a lot of money over replacing the pump. Its the ONLY part of my Wildwood trailer to fail after 10 years of living in it 6 months of each year. Im very impressed and this is the right part. It was a super easy replacement as well. -Nick

Product is great. etrailer is so great and responsive to work with. Always

by:

Etrailer uses a stock photo for this solenoid. The sticker states that it is a 5 min max run time and a different model number. I received a 2 min max run time. Etrailer provided me with Lipperts phone number and they told me the 2 min max is the only one they make now. I installed it and my leveling system is working perfectly now. I timed each run of the hydraulics in Auto Mode at about 30 seconds each on level ground. It was right at 2 minutes for Front, Rear, Left, and Right.

by:

We use this product on our rv leveling system. The website for ordering was simple and efficient. Product also arrived days ahead of schedule. It was also nice to receive email updates/ confirmation of our order and it's shipping status.

Amanda was excellent. She exceeded my expectations. She was knowledgeable & courteous. She took my order, then send me an email saying it was in shipping & then provided me the shipping info & I received it as promised. Part fixed the problem.

I commend Amanda as an employee and your company for parts purchases.

Product was shipped right away... I received it quickly. The solenoid fit perfectly, and operates flawlessly! Now our leveling system on our motorhome works again!

by:

Got me back up and going and quick shipping before our vacation

by:

Exact replacement, worked great on the first try and is still working a year later.

by:

It would have been a lot better if the nuts came with the solenoid as the old ones had gotten very hot from being loose and were rusty. If it had been a new setup I would’ve had to buy new nuts.

by:

Quick shipping, very good communication on product and shipping.

by:

Great phone service and fast shipping. Who could ask for more!

  • Do You Have a Replacement for a Dewald 010634 Solenoid?
Hey Dianna. I have a solution for you but I don't have the LC136046 which is the Lippert replacement for the Dewald 010634 solenoid. What I do have is the Lippert Polarity Reversing Solenoid by Trombetta for Hydraulic Power Units item # LC118246. The LC136046 and item # LC118246 are the same solenoid functionally but they mount differently. The LC136046 mounts using a strap around the motor and the item # LC118246 mounts on a tray beside the motor. Does yours look like the one pictured...

  • Recommended Replacement Solenoid for a Trombetta 214-1211-A61-06
Hey Rad, so the Trombetta 214-1231-A61-06 and 214-1211-A61-06 are different, but not terribly different. Both Trombetta parts are powered on 12VDC and can handle a 500A inrush, but 214-1211-A61-06 has a max duty cycle of 75A for 5 minutes, 140A for 30 seconds & 214-1231-A61-06 has a max duty cycle of 75A for 2 minutes, and 140A for 30 seconds. So since you have the Trombetta 214-1211-A61-06, you can use the Lippert Polarity Reversing Solenoid by Trombetta for Hydraulic Power Units #...

  • Troubleshooting Slide Out That Will Not Close
Hello Vince, thanks for reaching out. There are a few things you can look at if your slide out will not close. The first thing is to reset the power by disconnecting your RV from shore power for a few minutes then plug it back in. Next check all your slide out fuses, and try resetting the breakers. Also make sure your battery is fully charged, and try resetting your slide controller. If you try all of this and it doesn't fix the problem, it could mean your actuator is bad and needs...

  • How to Test Slide-Out Solenoid
You have already successfully tested the solenoid like the Polarity Reversing Solenoid by Trombetta for Hydraulic Power Units # LC118246. Switching the wires is the exact way you want to test this, and since you have done so, you are right that it is not the motor. What your test indicates is that it is an electrical wiring issue that may require you to have the slide-out serviced by a professional.

  • Will Replacement Solenoid Fix Weak Hydraulic Slide-Out
There is a solenoid like in your photo, and it is possible that Replacement Solenoid # LC118246 will fix your issue. I'm guessing that when opening and closing, doing so one way is causing more problems than the other. If so, what you can do is switch the wiring between the two cylinders to see if the same thing happens, but in reverse, which would indicate the solenoid being the problem and the Replacement Solenoid # LC118246 being what you would need to remedy the problem.

  • Troubleshooting Solenoid for Slide-Out Cylinder That Does Not Operate
You can test the function of the slider's troublesome hydraulic actuator cylinder by swapping the wiring between the two cylinders. If the bad one now works (when connected to the wiring for the other) then you know the issue is not the cylinder, but the wiring. Since you have no hydraulic fluid leaks or other visible issues this does suggest the problem is electrical. Replacing your Trombetta Polarity Reversing Solenoid # LC118246 may be your easiest route.

  • How To Test A Lippert Hydraulic Slide/Leveling System Solenoid And Motor
The slide out could be malfunctioning for a number of reasons, but the motor or solenoid can very well be the culprit. Below I've attached a snippet from the manual that goes over how to test both the solenoid # LC118246 and the motor so that you can see if either are bad. You'll also want to check the hydraulic fluid reservoir to ensure there's enough fluid, check the lines for any leaks, and then check your electrical connections for any loose or corroded connections.

  • Troubleshooting A Lippert Hydraulic Leveling System That Won't Extend The Legs
Hi William, I'd be willing to bet this is an issue with the solenoid # LC118246 mounted to the pump assembly. Check your wiring connections to make sure they're snug and then test the middle post for 12v power. This is where power comes into the solenoid so if there's no power then you likely have a blown fuse. The outer posts are your retract and extend power so you'll want someone press the retract button and test the post to see whether or not power is crossing over inside the solenoid....

  • Troubleshooting Slide-Out Function Where Solenoid Clicks But Doesnt Move Motor
It sounds like the ground isn't the issue because you bypass that with the cables and still have the clicking of the solenoid # LC118246. It sounds like the solenoid has gone bad and needs replacing. You have confirmed the motor works, so I'd start with testing that solenoid. I recommend testing it using a multimeter like # PT89ZR to see if you are getting the proper voltage before and after the pins. That will also help you further determine if the ground connection is an issue.

Since your slide's motor works (although only in one direction) we know it is good. This also tells us that the mechanical linkage components that transfer motor power to the slide-out are working too. So as a most-likely candidate the solenoid is it. My contact at Lippert told me your can test the solenoid by connecting the center post to either of the outer posts on the solenoid. Each post will cause the motor to turn in a different direction.
