This flexible heater is designed for use on oil or transmission pans, but it can also be used to heat hydraulic and water tanks. The size of the pan or tank that this heater should be used on is determined by the wattage of the heater. This 150-watt heating pad gives you the best results with oil pans that are up to 8 quarts and tanks that are up to 10 gallons in size (see application details above).

This worked great with a hydrolc tank holding 7 gal of fluid. Gets the temp upto 70 deg F in the winter.
Wish it had aa adjustable thermostat.
Used on transmission oil pan, works well. Good price, prompt shipping, good advice from tech dept. about placement and installation. Overall rating excellent.
A year in and its still there working for me. Haven't had any extreme cold weather though so cant speak to how effective it is below -20C
Works as always. Kat's are the best.
The delivery was fast thanks
I put this heater on my RV water heater to prevent it from freezing. So far it works well.
I used this through a winter in the north where it regularly is at subzero temperatures. Truck always started without any issues. I also had heat pads on the oil pan and transmission that I bought from etrailer. At -40+ degrees the truck always started relatively easy.
Website was easy to use and shipping was quick!
Article conforme a la description.
Was disappointed. Their product description along with the installation instructions both refer to "self adhesive" but there is none. Called manufacture and they suggested High temp silicone RTV. Do to the location of installation this was difficult to do the clamping. Added 4 days for 2 people to the process to install.
Works as advertised
Works great
We use it on the oil pan of our sprinter fleet. We run in subzero temps a couple times a year and this works great for us when our fleet has to sit outside overnight. Great product just make sure to research the size you need for your application.
Great Product! Volkswagen Jetta TDI makes no electrical heaters. There is NO frost plug on the engine either! Installed the KAT and life is good! Starts every time.

Installation was a snap as my generator was still hot from running. Peeled off the liner to expose the adhesive and stuck it squarely and securely on the underside of the oil pan. My review is only 4 stars because I haven't yet put the product to the test, but when that happens I will revisit and revise my review. Otherwise the heater arrived quickly and was as described.
I bought this pad heater for my air compressor that lives in the unheated side of my shop. I ruined two electric motors due to the oil in the compressor turning to molasses during the winter where it gets well below zero. So far so good. :)
The adhesive is solid, not peeling and the pad keeps my compressor nice and toasty. Before when I was away traveling I would forget to open the breaker for the compressor and come home to a ruined motor. That problem is history.
I highly recomend this heater, very small but very effective for oil pans of all types needing to be kept warm in freezing condition.
I own and operate a tree service in MI, needless to say the winter months are hard on our equipment. I had searched for quit some time before I found this product, it was a very easy installation and makes a world of difference, I would highly recommend this to anyone who works in the cold weather. Thank you Kats !!!
So far so good. Bought 3 for our diesels. Be sure to clean the oil pan for any dust, grime or grease. We even lightly sanded the oil pan to ensure good adhesion then used high temp RTV silicone around the edges.
Works awesome! This is the second one, the first burned out after two years. We use them on 4 wheelers in the winter, on timers for 2 hrs twice a day. Put on lower crank case to warm oil...starts much easier. This one still working well after 1 year.
I installed this on a DEF tank in my diesel to keep it from freezing when I’m parked overnight in sub zero temps. I ran the cord along the frame rail as far as it would reach then attached an extension cord and routed that to come out in the same area as my block heater plug. Be sure to clean the surface of whatever you’re attaching the pad to in order to get good adhesion.
Used it to keep oil warm on my GENERAC generator for easier starting during winter months but the electrical connections on the heater were so poor that they were arcing and sparking like July 4th fireworks!! So I ripped it off, too unsafe.
