Tire Sensor Installation

Tire sensor Install Diagram

  1. Place the included wrench around the sensor. You must use the wrench to put on or remove the sensor from your tire's valve stem.
  2. Screw the sensor onto the valve stem. Tighten the sensor until the air stops leaking and the sensor bottoms out on the valve stem. Give it a slight twist to fully seat the sensor while being careful not to over-tighten.

Note: To inflate or deflate a tire you must remove the sensor.

Easy to install and program. Thanks etrailer for prompt shipping and excellent customer service.

by:

My previous tire sensor TST 507 had over 69k mileage, but I broke it. Absolutely love these tire monitors!

by:

Easy to install and program. Very reliable. I have a sensor on each pickup and trailer tire.

by:

Easy to program and work great with my TST 770 display.

by:

Great service

I have 4 TST sensors on our 5th wheel RV and wanted to add 2 sensors to the rear wheels of the tow vehicle. Our truck has pressure monitoring but not rim temperature and alarm for loss of pressure. The TST sensors take care of that and have been reliable. The new display is a nice upgrade to the older version.

After a year of using the TST system on our truck, we still feel that they provide temperature and pressure readings necessary for a higher level of safety. We tow a heavy fifth wheel camper and also have sensors on the 4 wheels of the camper. Thanks TST for providing a quality system.

by:

Faster than expected!

by:

Bought these for my car to monitor the tires when towing behind my motorhome. They have worked flawlessly. Delivery from etrailer was on time. I will buy again if needed. I have always been satisfied with my purchases from etrailer.

They are still working great!

by:

Great service, communication, and shipping was fast. I would recommend buying from this seller.

by:

Always great service

by:

I have these installed on my 41' fifth wheel and while traveling on interstate 80 in Pennsylvania My alarm sounded.
I immediately pulled of the road and found that I had picked up a piece of steel. (ruined the tire)
With the alarm sounding so quickly I saved running the tire flat and possibly doing more damage to the trailer other than just replacement of the tire. The monitoring system worked so well when I returned home I ordered sensors for two additional trailers that I pull.
I would highly recommend this product to anyone that pulls a trailer.

by:

After 3 blow outs in 3 years on our fifth wheel we finally made this purchase. Easy to set up, expandable, we also put a set on our boat trailer and motorcycle trailer, gives accurate pressure and temp readings. Gives us peace of mind. We can monitor the tires before they blow and rip out the sides of our camper and trailers! Must have purchase.

by:

I installed this system on my class C motorhome. It saves having to verify tire pressure with a hand gauge and piece of mind that I don't have a leak on a dully tire while driving. You cannot feel a low or even totally flat dully tier, resulting in total shredding of that tire doing damage to the vehicle. This system was easy to install, keeps me informed on tire pressure and temperature. Instructions were easy to follow.

We use these TST TPMS sensors and booster on our horse trailers, utility trailers, and live in trailers. They add a great degree of safety and if you have ever towed trailers and have had good tires fail due to low pressure and/or heat, you don't want to leave home without them. I am an ASE certified mechanic and my wife raises horses. We put many miles on our trailers and although I do all my own tire replacements, nails and other road debris find a way to puncture otherwise healthy tires. The problem with a trailer unlike your tow vehicle which has TPMS installed, is that trailers aren't required to have TPMS as yet. One doesn't know there is a problem until a tire has failed sometimes taking the tandem tire with it. Why would you not want to protect these wonderful animals and the traveling public at large by knowing what condition your tires are in on the trailer? The simplicity of the valve stem units is great and the internal band types are even better but of course requires dismounting and remounting/balancing the wheel assembly. My wife has been a victim of tire failure with horses aboard in the middle of summer and it's no picnic. Luckily there was no incident other than the normal pain in the butt misfortune. I highly recommend these types of products and having peace of mind on the highway is worth many times the cost of the system which I think is very reasonable for what the system does for safety. To go to the extreme, I carry a spare plus another spare should one tire take out another. Again, cheap insurance. etrailer has been great to deal with and I will continue to do business with this company as they are very customer oriented which is not the case with many companies these days.

by:

Unit has been running for approx 1 year on the original batteries. I am monitoring 6 wheels on a RV and 4 wheels on a tow vehicle. My only minor complaint is the screen brightness. It appears to be brighter unplugged than when it is plugged into a 12V supply. This seems backwards to me. I like a bright screen but either one is readable.

by:

Excellent technical support. Made sure I ordered the correct product to work with my existing TPMS system. Product arrived close to a week sooner than original estimate. Always top notch service when dealing with Etrailer.

by:

Sure gives me piece of mind to see the tires temperature and pressure on my RV and towing vehicles. This is after experiencing a tire going flat and not knowing it.

by:

Didn’t get to try out the sensors...unknowingly my RV was already equipped. But as usual, I’ve always had professional, competent service at Etrailer.

by:

Great product. Great service from etrai ler.

by:

These worked fine, however I replaced them with the pass-thru version in my RV. Reused this on my tow dolly.

by:

It's been a great product. Actually saved us from an overheated tire that probably would have blown had we not been alerted and then stopped to let cool down.

by:

I have 12 sensors between my truck and trailer. They work great and easy to set up.

by:

Etrailer shipped our order the same day snd we received it in a few days. Very pleases with their service and selections.

by:

Price was excellent and was received as promised. Many thanks to etrailer.

by:

Was delivered fast, these were backup just in case one of the original ones in the kit I purchased failed while traveling.

  • Troubleshooting TST Sensor Won't Connect
Hi Robert; do you have a TST system like the # TST-507-RV-4-C? How old are the sensors? The # TST-507-RV-S4 sensors have a battery life of 12-18 months so it sounds like it might be time to replace the sensor if it is no longer detected. They are also sold in pairs # TST-507-RV-S2. If it is an actual internal sensor like # TST-507-INT-S1 the battery life can last up to 4 years depending on use so it is less likely that the battery gave out unless it is old compared to the other sensors....
