Shane: Hey guys, Shane 00:00:01 here with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the SnapPad Jack Stand Pads.With a motorhome or camper, we like to go camping to different places. We like to travel. Camping at different spots means the ground could be a little bit different. Maybe it could be a little bit softer in some places. Well, when we go to level out our trailer, if one of those jacks pushes down on the ground, that means our camper's not going to be level.Adding a SnapPad onto your jacks is going to make leveling out your camper a lot easier because we're not going to have to worry about the foot sinking in the ground.
It's going to give us a much bigger footprint to make sure that we have a solid foundation.These are going to come in a variety of different sizes, anywhere from 7-inch up to 12-inch. Here, we have the 8-inch, 9-inch, 10-inch, 11.5. There's also a 7-inch and a 12-inch. What you're going to need to do is determine what kind of foot pad you have on your jack. There's four different kinds.
You have round, you have square, you have octagon, and you have concave round. These are going to be for your round. This type is going to be for your concave round or your octagon. Then of course, your 11.5 and your 12 are going to be for rounds.Now the reason this one is for your concave round or your octagon.. You'll notice that the sides are a little bit deeper than the rest of them.
The reason that is, is because on the foot pad, on the octagon and concave round, the sides kind of roll up a little bit taller. But we want those sides to be able to come down and grab on this bottom lip.Each one of our pads are going to be the durable rubber construction. So no matter what terrain we're on, whether it's rocky or asphalt, we can rest assured that once we have our jacks down, they're going to stay in place.So with adding these onto your factory foot plate, we kind of put this in perspective. Your factory foot plate, let's say it's nine inches, which is what this pad is here. Your 9-inch foot plate is a metal plate.
When we add this, we're actually making it 11 inches. So we're going from nine inches to 11 inches, which is going to give us a much better footprint, a much more solid foundation.Not only can you buy these as a kit, but you can also buy these as separate pads. You can find each one here at etrailer.com.Now to measure your pad or to measure your foot. They determine what you have. This one's a round one. What we need to do is we need to measure across it from one side to the other. That's going to tell us what size foot pad we need. If you have octagon, you're just going to go from one flat side to the other flat side, straight across, very simple to measure. Once you measure, find the correct foot pad, and you're ready to go.My overall thoughts on these, I think these are a great idea. I think when you compare them to some of the other types of pads or some of the other types of things that people have used, like Mowers 00:03:08 for instance, or maybe a pad that you just slide underneath there. You know, when we go to take off, maybe we're in a rush, and you're going to be thinking all the way home whether you forgot the pad or not. If you forgot it, you're out of luck. Now you got to find something else. We've gotten a lot of reviews from different people who have got these and said that "this was the best thing" they've "ever bought for their RV or camper" and they "should have done it a long time ago."As far as the installation on. Installation is very simple. I do say have two people. Once you get the pad slid into place or in the area of the jack, back out, but whoever it is drop that jack down close to the path. If you have to make an adjustment, have him stop, slide the pad over and then get out from underneath the RV. Once they drop the jack down all the way, it's going to pop right into place. That doesn't mean once they're on, they have to stay on. If you have to replace them, they can come off. Take a couple of screwdrivers, you're just going to wedge it up around the plate, slide it around the side until you get half of it off, and then it'll just slide off and you can pop the new one on.That's going to do it for looking at the SnapPad Jack Stand Pads..

They do not stay on. This is my third set. They are the correct size, they just do not handle any bumps or nudges.

Have used the product for one season on my Jayco Seneca. Lost one of the snap pads to include the foot plate. So Seneca owners, beware and check your foot plates to ensure their secure...or, pay the piper for a replacement.
I am very satisfied with my order, got want I wanted and on time as indicted.
