Hello neighbors and friends. I'm Steven here with etrailer.com. Today, we're looking at this license plate holder for the Kuat Piston Pro X. That's right, folks, this license plate holder is gonna let you keep your license plate in full legal view while you're using your Kuat Piston Pro X Bike Rack. Now it does work with multiple different racks, I'll put those item numbers on the screen for you. It is a simple bolt-on installation with the included hardware, wrench, and Allen key as well.
Everything here is a nice heavy duty aluminum that's durable, that's been black powder coated, so it's gonna be very resistant with that extra layer of the black powder coat finish. You can fold it up different directions, however you want to mount it for your specific needs to get the right angle for viewing. Now overall, some dimensions from edge to edge, I'm getting 7 and 7/8 of an inch. On the width here, I'm getting 1 and 1/4 inches. These slots inside for the license plate bolts, those are 5/8 of an inch wide.
They're oval shaped, that way you can kind of slide them left to right to center up your needs. Those guys are 7 inches on center for the outside guys and the inside ones here are 3 and 1/4 inches center to center. Kuat is an excellent product,
I bought the Kuat Piston Pro X hitch mount bike carrier, the Kuat Pivot Arm, Ramp for loading and the license plate holder.
All excellent, well made products. Each comes with online assembly instructions and tools for assembly.
The license plate holder was on backorder with Kuat, withup to an 8 week delay in receiving it from Kuat.
I have had excellent results with etrailer.com with several orders.
I took a chance looking on their website and they had the Kuat license plate holder.
It arrived two days earlier then their estimate.
