Today, were going to review part number 28682. This is the Redline Outer Trailer Wheel Bearing. These replacement bearings are high quality, tapered roller bearings designed for high-speed use. All bearings will have an industry standard number regardless of the brand. What you would do is when you order a bearing to replace what you have is you just get the number off of the bearing and then, we can cross-reference it to the correct bearing you would need.The other way is if need to measure it, the inner diameter is the most critical measurement, which is this part right here. You do need to use a digital caliper because measurement is in thousandths of an inch.
A regular ruler or tape measure wont work. If we do the inner on this one that would go to 2.250 and thats what youll need to match to what you would have on your this would match the bearing thats on your spindle, right now.This bearing is comprised of three different parts. Basically, the inner part, the inner ring, or cone is this, right here. Right here are the tapered roller bearings and they are contained in a cage or roller retainer. There is one other part that is needed and that is sold separately and that is the outer bearing race.
For this one, it would be part number 28622. The critical measurement on that outer race you need have would be the outer diameter, which on that one would be 3.844. All of these bearings will use a wheel bearing grease or oil to lubricate them. That should do it for review on part number 28682. .

I’m guessing they are Chinese made. My 50 year old Timkin USA made bearings are still tighter and roll just as free as these new one. They are a good fit and once I filled them with hi quality EP grease they seemed solid.
Even though Airstream no longer sourced replacement brake parts for my 2003 Airstream trailer, eTrailer had exact replacement brakes, drum/hubs, bearings and seals. Installation of the new parts was easy and quick.
Part is correct but very poor packing quality for the shipment leaves me worried about damage.
