Snowplow Installation
Front or rear mount? Versatility is the SnowSport LT's middle name.
Installation is quick and simple - just slide the included shank assembly into your 2" hitch receiver and secure with pin.
Once the plow frame is connected, attach the blade by lifting one end at a time onto the frame's holders. The lightweight aluminum blade construction makes lifting or adjusting an easy, one-person job. Secure the blade in either the transport or plowing position with the plow's snap pins. The low-profile design won't block your headlights, and the transport position is secure enough for highway travel.
If using with a rear-mount receiver, simply lower the blade to plow position and back up as usual. For a front-mounted plow blade, just drive forward with the blade in the plow position. The unique design takes the hassle out of plowing: This device has no hydraulics or complicated wiring. The push frame on the shank assembly allows the blade to move along the grade of the terrain for easier, more efficient plowing. The heavy-duty rubber cutting edge is effective yet turf friendly, collecting snow and squeegeeing slush without digging into the ground.
When you are ready to reverse your driving direction, the blade lies back, skimming over the surface of the ground until you change direction again to plow.
Handy blade markers extend vertically from the ends of the plow to help you see where you are plowing.
With the SnowSport LT, plowing snow is as easy as backing out of your driveway. Once you are finished plowing, simply lift the blade, refasten it in the transport position and head off for work or errands.

31023 Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver
Videos are provided as a guide only. Refer to manufacturer installation instructions and specs for complete information.
Today on our 2013 GMC Sierra we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Kirk custom-fit front-mount trailer hitch receiver. This offers a 2-inch opening. It's part number is C31023. Here's what our hitch looks like once we get it installed here on the front of the Sierra, really nice clean-looking hitch, beefs up the look of the front end a little bit. It doesn't protrude out pass the front edge of our bumper. That straight line would be about there, so we're going have maybe an inch and a half, 2 inches because it's tucked back in but it sticks out far enough that we've got plenty of access room for our pin hole. We've used all existing bolts, some to hold the tow hooks in, some for the bumper.
This is going to offer a 500-pound ton rating and a 5,000-pound gross trailer weight rating. You say, "It's on front of the truck. That doesn't mean a whole lot. I'm going to push my boat down the road or something," but from what we see in the reviews and what customers are saying for maneuvering your boat in those tighter spots, it can really comes in handy. Just hook it up to the front.
It gives you a good visual. You're looking right at it. You maneuver it right into those sometimes harder-to-get-to spots. Also, this is going to work out great for wrench recovery. Straight line pull, we put our wrench into here. As long as it's rated at those numbers, it's going to hold up to 9,000 pounds.
That gives us great recovery opportunities there. Also, other usage, you could get a cargo carrier to mount up here on the front, give you a little safari look. We've got snow plows that'll mount up here on the front so you can clear your driveway. The hitch offers a 5/8s inch pin hole here in the side. All the 5/8s hitch pin accessories are going to work with that whether it's pin-and-clip, anti-rattle bolt.
Then we've got the nice enlarged in here, so even the hitch immobilizer is going to go around there and block out whatever it is that we've got in place. Now a couple of measurements you may find helpful would be from the ground to the inside top edge of our receiver tube opening, it's about 12 inches. Then from the center of our hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of our bumper, it's about 3. Now to begin our installation, for a little bit of safety and also support for our bumper, we're going to use just a regular cam-buckle strap. We're going to feed it right into the large hole here. Behind is a metal bracket right up here. Then we'll bring it over to each side. We'll see in our bumper here, there's a small tab that's got a hole in it. We're just going to hook that into that side. I'll pull out a little bit of the slack. Then we'll get the other side hooked up. Now we'll just pull any slack in that strap out. Then as we loosen up a couple of the bolts that are holding the bumper into place, that'll give us some support so we don't have to worry about that coming down. Now we're going to start taking a few bolts out. This is the front lower fascia on the bumper. We're here on the driver's side. We remove this bolt and this bolt. Those hold our tow hook in. One there. Sometimes they come out freely. Sometimes you'll have to put a wrench on the nut that's on the back side there. You pull that out. Then remove that tow hook. Now while we're here, we're also going to remove the 2 bolts. One. Then that should push out together. Now let's head over to the passenger side and remove those same 4. We need to trim out just a little notch for that hitch to fit through. Now to find our center we need to look underneath here. Our 2 tabs here, we just want to measure the gap between them, about 2 and 3/8's. That's our center mark. Mark it on our tape. Now we'll just use a straight edge and just bring that up on our tape so we have a good idea. Next up we're going to find our top edge. Now we're going to come down from this intersection 7/8's of an inch. Now we're going to take out the gap here. It's going to be 2 and 3/4's of an inch. We'll do an inch and 3/8's on each side. All right. Now we're going to be taking out that section right there. Now we can take a look at the attachment points that we're going to be using. You've already had a real good look at them. They're going to be the bolts that we have removed. We've got our lower bolt, the side bolt. Those we're for our tow hook if you remember. Then just above those we've got our bumper bolts. Now we're going to use the factory hardware that we removed. We'll just get our hitch put up there, get a few of the bolts started and then get the rest of them in place. We're going to take the tow hook we removed. We're going to place it right back in. What we'll do is line up the hole that our bolt went through the nut that's on that tow hook. For good measure if you use just a little screwdriver up here in the front, you can see where I've got it. Just let the tow hook rest down on that. It's going to hold it into position until we get our bolt lined up into place. Now we can grab our hitch, raise it up into position and get our hardware started. Now with those started, that's going to hold our hitch into position for us. Let's go ahead, grab the rest of them and get those in. Now we will just torque that down to specification. We'll have this job taken care of. Now before we head down the road, let's get our cam-buckle strap out of here. It's done it's job. With everything torqued to specification, that's going to complete today's installation of the Kirk front-mount trailer-hitch receiver, Part Number C31023 on our 2013 GMC Sierra.

Install went perfectly. It all bolted up just how the instructions said it would. The hardest part was navigating your tools in the tight spaces. Having the deep sockets as suggested is definitely worth it. I was also able to utilize a cordless impact wrench and it helped a ton. This will work great for our bike rack.
Great front receiver hitch for my Chevy Silverado 2500 HD. Everything fit using OE bolts and nuts. Only the plastic trim had to be cut out to fit receiver. I had dealer do it, but would have done it myself when I was younger. etrailer is easy to order from and has good customer service.
This thing went on our 2013 Silverado 1ton truck without a problem. It did take two of us to hold it in
Place to get the first bolt back in but other than that it’s been flawless
Overall, my experience with etrailer was good. There was an initial delay in shipping, but once I talked to someone, everything went well. The help page was invaluable. The biggest help was the installation video. While there are slight differences between the 2011 GMC and the 2013, the process was the same. I am very pleased with the product and the support. After a year, I am still extremely pleased with the hitch. It is solid and provides the solution I needed.
Perfect fit for my 2012 GMC 3500. Directions are excellent. It is a tight work space for some of the bolts. I've carried a bike rack with 130 lbs of ebikes for 600 miles so far and no problems.
Great product! Super easy to install! This makes my winch twice as versatile. Thanks for a design that leaves the tow hooks in the truck!
Great product...I carry bicycles on the front of truck while towing a camper. Can also carry a cargo basket or winch on the front. Love it!

Best thing for carrying bikes on front of truck!
Installed this hitch this morning 10/06/19. Was going to wait for help as arthritis in hands makes turn wrenches a chore but was bored so went ahead anyhow. This is my second front hitch install , first one on 2018 F-150. Today’s install on 2014 duramax 2500. Today’s install was super simple , used floor jack to hold hitch up in position, you need to remove four bolts on each side , I did try air tools on the 21mm bolts but not powerful enough so used small piece of copper pipe over wrench handle for leverage to loosen, air tools were able to loosen the six 18mm bolts , took me about an hour and a half by myself. The fit of the hitch was absolutely perfect! Had to cut a small piece of the air dam at bottom of bumper, used a hacksaw, very easy. The quality and coating on the hitch is top notch.
Excellent fit & function delivered in a reasonable amount of time. Although this shot is at our current campground in NJ, the hitch will be used to park my boat in its hard-to-get-to parking spot. Great job, Etrailer!

The hitch has worked out just fine for a variety of uses. I have always been impressed by all the _towing_ related articles purchased from etrailer.
Great product, easy to install. Had to cut the air-dam but no other alterations needed. It is a little low but no more so than the front of the truck air dam.

I use a motorcycle carrier on the front for my 125 scooter while pulling my fifth wheel. It is very secure and the finish has held up fine. I would recommend this purchase.
I watched the attachment on how to install and video was spot on. The hitch is very well made. I'll enjoy this for years to come. Thank you
As always, delivery was quick. Hitch was easy to install and works nice. We do a lot of camping and since very few of the travel trailer manufacturers recommend a trailer hitch (some will tell you it voids your warranty), we can carry our bikes up front with this hitch.

Excellent! As with every product i have purchased thru etrailer.
Great product. Easy install.
Super easy, DIY!!! Best price around, delivered in 2 days for free! Would definitely look at etrailer again for any camping/ hauling / trailer needs !
Fit and finish is great and installation was fairly simple with the right tools.
I was a little surprised with the snow plow. I thought it was going to be hydraulic/electric. It does okay, going on flat and slight declines. Inclines not so good. I also. Bought a rear trailer hitch. Very pleased with it.
I ordered a front hitch mount for our RV. Product is very heavy duty and priced right! I ordered on a Friday afternoon and had my part by Tuesday, very impressed. Will surely use this company in the future.

The hitch mount has worked great. Knowing it was machined for pick up trucks, I had no problem installing on a Freightliner chassis. Had to drill a few holes and fabricated a additional brace out of some angle iron for added piece of mind. I have no concerns about the sturdiness and integrity when using this mount.
very sturdy product; installation was straight forward exactly as instructions indicated. I had planned to haul motorcycle on this front mount hitch with a carrier meant for a rear receive hitch. While i have not done so yet (lighting issues i need to resolve), this receiver will do the job. I also plan on picking up a receiver mount for a winch which could come in handy. Shipping was fast from etrailer. Overall great product and great service! I got just what I expected from the description.
Installed on my 2012 Silverado 2500HD and it fit perfectly and was very easy to install. Cut my lower cowling to allow the hitch to protrude and it looks awesome! Very glad I purchased your product and would highly recommend to everyone!!

Still Rocking!I have used this many times and it is still a great product!
Exact fit. Took less than 30 minutes to install in my shop and used all of the factory attaching hardware. If your truck is equipped with the second lower plastic deflector, approximately 3" long, you'll need to trim a 2 3/4" square out dead center for the tube to clear. I've installed several RV accessories over the years and I want to thank you for taking the time to get the fit correct. Time is money and your product is spot on. I would recommend this to anyone looking to install a hitch to the front of their truck for a bike rack or to make moving a trailer around in a crowded yard a breeze.
Perfect fit on my 2014 Sierra 2500HD Denali. Removed the air dam and it bolted right up. I use it for a front rack to haul a canoe with my 5th wheel camper and it suits my purposes perfectly. You do lose some front approach angle with the receiver hanging down up front, but if you don't do a lot of off road travel you wouldn't notice any difference.
We pull a fifth-wheel and have our kayaks on the back of the camper, originally the bike rack went into the kayak rack but it made a lot of weight hanging out the back, so we bought this front hitch for our bikes and it worked out great. Hitch is heavy duty and was easy to install.
Front Mount Trailer Hitch works great! Use your 20x47 MaxxTow Cargo Carrier to carry my Honda Generator and misc. equipment. Traveled 9500 miles,16 states and the Canadian Rockies with no problems.
I installed the hitch on my 2011 HD2500 Silverado and it functions as expected. The installation itself was simple. I had to cut out a small area of the valance/air dam so the hitch would clear. I had no trouble torquing the hardware to specs. The installation looks good and like it is intended to be there.
I have used Curt hitches previously and this product is to place my boat in a closed in area in my backyard.

Love it. It is secure and discrete and is great for a bike rack. Be cautious of what you hang up front, bikes or other types of racks might disrupt airflow into the radiator, which was expected, just keep an eye on temperature. The bolt up was secure and relatively easy.
