Radiator Fans with 17 Inch Diameter for tight fits

Go with a size that fits tight bays—17 inch diameter radiator fans offer broad coverage while helping with clearance. Choose a puller when there's room behind the radiator or a pusher up front if space is limited; pullers typically work more efficiently. Match airflow and depth to your setup—plan for shroud thickness and pulley clearance, and target about 2,200-3,000 CFM for a 5.7 L V8.
Most 17 inch electric radiator fans in this size are 12V only. Check the voltage on the product label before wiring. If your system is 24V, look for a dedicated 24V fan instead of trying to run a 12V unit. Mismatched voltage can lead to poor performance or damage.
That depends on your layout and the fan's design. Some 17 inch assemblies are puller-only, so confirm orientation in the instructions. Reversible single-fan options can run as pusher or puller if space in front or behind the radiator dictates it. If cooling isn't as expected, adding a shroud or improving airflow can help.
For a 5.7 L V8, target about 2,200 - 3,000 CFM. Match the fan size to your radiator core and verify the depth fits your bay. If temps creep up, check thermostat condition, shrouding, and sealing around the radiator. A fan smaller than the core can work, but mounting and airflow management matter.
It can, but measure carefully. Some 17 inch electric fans and shroud assemblies are thicker than most, so verify depth from the radiator to the water pump pulley or accessories. Aim for at least a small clearance gap; one install noted about 1/2 inch. If you're close, consider a thinner high-flow option or a fan without a shroud to reduce depth.
