Hey David, the Derale transmission cooler part #D15200 that you referenced does not come with a thermostat or any install kit components but if you wanted a similar option that does have all of that you would want the part #D15500.
That's pretty hard to give an exact answer on but with the install of the Derale Electra-Cool Combo Engine and Transmission Cooler Assembly w/ Fan #D15200 you'd see the fluid stay right around 175 degrees in traffic on a hot day since the fan…

WOW! I am impressed! I called to place my order and real person answered, spoke perfect English, albeit a slight southern accent, and my order was sent within a day, shipped quickly and I had it a few days later. I saved over a hundred dollars over local and installed it my self. I cant imagine how that they could do any better. THANKS!

24 Inch Diameter Radiator Fans for easy upgrades
Go with 24 inch diameter radiator fans when you want an electric setup that fits your build. Radiator fans are not vehicle-specific; if you have 24" wide x 15-1/2" tall x 4-1/2" deep of space behind the radiator, you shouldn't have any issues with installation. For V8 swaps or fan deletes, options moving up to 3,750 CFM at 0 static pressure pair well with a 40/60-amp dual relay wiring harness for a dual fan assembly.
It can be. Mechanical fans typically move 3,000 to 5,000 CFM, so an electric around 3,200 CFM has been used as a suitable replacement. A 24" dual high-output setup can move up to 3,750 CFM at 0 static pressure. Verify your engine's cooling needs and radiator condition before the swap.
Depth that shallow is uncommon. A similar 24" x 17" dual setup is about 4-1/2" deep. If 3-1/2" is a hard limit, check for ways to create more clearance or consider relocating the radiator. Measure the full depth available, including fan motor protrusion.
Use a 40/60-Amp dual relay wiring harness for a dual fan assembly. This helps wire both fans correctly and protect the electrical system. Confirm your alternator output and fuse sizes, and route wiring away from heat and moving parts.
These fans aren't vehicle-specific, so measure your space. A common 24" dual setup needs about 24" wide x 15-1/2" tall x 4-1/2" deep behind the radiator. Check clearance for hoses and accessories before committing. If space is tighter in depth, plan for adjustments to mounting or component placement.
