Floats mount with basic 3/8" lag screws and washers using built-in slots, and they can be painted with marine-grade paint, though longevity depends on conditions. Add sturdy dock steps—with an optional handrail and built-in storage—and secure a dock box with a puck lock that hides the shackle for deterrence.

Match step height to your platform: a 2-step is 17" tall and a triple step is 25-1/2" tall. Capacity is 300 lbs. An accessory hand rail is sturdy and adds confidence. If you notice non slip getting loose or curling at the edges, re-secure or replace the tread to keep footing dependable.

Start by estimating the total weight of your dock and gear, then match it to the listed lifting capacity of each float. Some floats support 450 lbs and others 600 lbs, so use the capacity shown for the size you choose and space them evenly. Lay out floats to balance the load across the frame to avoid low spots.
