Thule Passage Trunk Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - Hanging Style
Excellent and prompt customer service! When I first ordered my product it wasn’t in stock— staff were quick to let me know and offered me comparable products. I ended up waiting for my original order and shipping quick and they stayed in touch with ideas! Thule: The instructions could be a little more detailed. I ended up watching YouTube videos to help me instal. Overall it was easy, and this was the first rack I’ve ever installed and I did it by myself! I was surprised to learn the bike rack is in no way secured inside your vehicle, so.. I store it in my garage when it’s on.
Positive: The product is well thought out and works for a wide range of automotive vehicles. It comes with interesting dampers that i think work. Instructions seem to be translated from another language, but are quite good, accompanying pictures make installation straightforward. A test drive over speed bumps shows that the rack will support the bike for all travel needs. It can be disassembled , collapsed and stored in the trunk. Downside: The rack is made for the classic triangular shaped frame: horizontal cross bar, "male" bike. For bikes without the horizontal bar, mounting is a little less satisfactory. Such a bike can only be mounted on the outside mounts. Cannot use the damper on one side. Picture shows the mounting. as to a design solution, maybe brackets could be replaced with smaller profile, some adjustability? however, as it is, vibration control is good and adjustability with smaller profile would have vibration concerns.

Saris Bones 2 Bike Rack - Trunk Mount - Adjustable Arms
Seemingly well-constructed and supported bike rack. It fits my 2018 Toyota Camry SE just fine and I haven't had any issues with sway or even feeling my bike while driving. I've only carried one bike on it and have used it a limited number of times, so I cannot speak on durability and longevity. Although you shouldn't open your trunk while the rack is attached, I have been able to do so with no issue (without the bike attached).
While getting a bike rack for a sports car isn't ideal, I really wanted to transfer my bike with my own car instead of borrowing my friend's pickup truck. After hours of trying to find a bike rack that would be good for my 07 Mustang, I decided to give this one a try and I gotta say, it has been pretty good so far. It fits very well over the factory spoiler. One of my biggest concerns I was worried about when ordering a rack for my Mustang was ruining the paint, but the feet on the legs haven't left one scratch. I have used this to transfer my bike at freeway speeds (up to 80 mph) on car rides that typically last an hour and my bike was perfectly secure throughout each ride. For extra security, I wrapped both bike wheels with a ratchet strap so the wheels and pedals wouldn't shift in transit. So far, I am very pleased with this bike rack for the price and quality. I would highly recommend this if you want a rack that is affordable and durable.
Yakima QuickBack 2 Bike Rack Review - 2012 Ford Fusion
Today on our 2012 Ford Fusion we're going to be test fitting the Yakima QuickBack 2 Trunk Mounted Bike Rack, part number y02621. To begin our test fit we'll go ahead and place the carrier on top of our trunk. We'll put the top hooks at the top part of the trunk, the side hooks to the side and the bottom hooks to the bottom part of the trunk.We'll tighten up all the straps and then we'll be ready to load our bike. To load our bike we'll open up the arms and make them level with the ground or slightly inclined. We'll go ahead and undo the cradle straps, fit our bike into the cradles and secure our bike to the rack by tightening each strap.Once we've done that our bike is all loaded up and we're ready to hit the road. Today on our 2012 Ford Fusion we'll be test fitting the Thule Raceway Trunk Mounted Two Bike Carrier, part number th9001. Now to begin our test fit we're first going to set the FitDial on our carrier. We'll set the FitDial to number eight as it stated in the instructions and place the carrier onto the vehicle's trunk. We'll put the top hooks to the top part of the trunk and the bottom hooks to the bottom part of the trunk.Note that you may to need to open up your trunk to get your hooks into position. We'll then turn the gray knobs on the left and right hand side of the carrier to tighten down the straps securing the carrier to the vehicle. We'll then flip out the gray lever at the center of the carrier to swing the cradle arms out.

In this case we're setting our FitDial at eight.After setting our FitDial we'll place the carrier onto the vehicle. We'll put the top straps at the top part of the trunk with the side straps at the side part of the trunk and the bottom straps to the bottom part of the trunk. We'll then tighten all the straps to secure the carrier to the vehicle. After securing the excess slack we're ready to load our bike.We'll go ahead and undo the cradle straps, set the bank onto the frame cradles and secure with the straps.

Today on our 2012 Ford Fusin we'll be test fitting the Thule Gateway Trunk Mounted Two Bike Carrier, part number th9006xt. Now before we begin our test fit we're first going to refer to the included instructions to determine what number our FitDial should be at. We'll set our FitDial to number eight and place the carrier onto the vehicle's trunk.We'll put the tap hooks to the top part of trunk, the side hooks to the side part of the trunk and the bottom hooks to the bottom part of the trunk. We'll then tighten down the straps to secure the carrier to the vehicle. We'll then secure the excess strap with the included hook-and-loop strap. Now we're ready to load our bike.We'll flip out the gray levers on the outside of the carrier to swing the cradle arms out.

Today on our 2012 Ford Fusion we'll be test fitting the Thule Archway Two Bike Carrier with Adjustable Arms, part number th9009xt. To begin our test fit we need to look in the instructions and to Thule's Fit Guide where we see that our FitDial needs to be set to eight. Once we have that set we'll go ahead and place our carrier on top of our trunk. We need to make sure that the lower arm of our carrier is positioned on the upper tier of the bumper.Then we need to place the top clips in the gap at the front edge of the top of the trunk. We'll place the lower clips in the bottom edge of the trunk and then we'll fit our side clips to the sides of the trunk. Once we have our clips in place and snugged down then we can go ahead and make our way around and secure each one until they're all tight.
Hollywood Racks Gordo 2 Bike Carrier Review - 2012 Ford Fusion
Today, on our 2012 Ford Fusion, well be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Gordo 2-Bike Carrier for Long Wheelbase Bicycles, Part Number HRG2. Well begin our test fit, by placing the carrier on top of our trunk. As we adjust the top part of our carrier, the arms of our carrier move as well. We want to make sure that our arms are either straight out or slightly angled up and then now, well give us the correct location for the top part of our carrier.Once we have that set, we can go ahead and lock the side clips into place. Well go ahead and take the top hooks and secure them to the part of the trunk. Well take the side hooks, put them on the side of our trunk and take the bottom hooks, and put them on the bottom of our trunk.

We want to take the top two straps and secure them at the top of the trunk.Well now go ahead and pull them snugged just to help us give the bike rack in place. Now we want to go around and make sure that theyre all snugged.With our bike rack secured, well now undo the clamps which will allow us to bring out the dual arms.

Today, on our 2012 Ford Fusion, well be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Baja 2-Bike Carrier Trunk Mount, Part Number HRB2. To begin our test fit, well set the carrier on top of the trunk. If necessary, use the black levers located at the end of each carrier to adjust the jaws for a better fit. Once you have the correct fit, you can use the top two hooks to hook to the top of the trunk, the two side hooks to hook to the side and the two low hooks to the bottom of the trunk.It may be necessary to open the trunk just enough to get the hooks into place. Once you have all the hooks in place, we can go ahead and secure the carrier to the vehicle by tightening down each strap. Then well go ahead and secure the access lock.

The cradles themselves are stationary, but they do have this SuperCush material to help protect your bike's frame once it's being installed, and make sure that it doesn't get any scratches on it once you're installing it and transporting it.These do also have anti-sway cradles back here, which you can push up out of the way while loading and unloading, which is going to make it 10 times easier as opposed to having to shuffle the bike back and forth to get it into place. Now, to begin our test-fit, we've already gone ahead and set the bike rack up according to the guide found within the instructions of the Raceway. We'll place it on top of our deck lid and take the two top hooks and hook it to the deck lid just behind the rear window. We'll then snug the cables down using the grey knobs on either side. We can then take the bottom cables and hook it to the deck lid just above the rear bumper cover and again snug them down with the grey knobs. Once we have all four cables in place and snug, we can go ahead and tighten it down securing the bike rack to the vehicle.

We'll do that on both sides, but we'll go ahead and snug them down as well.
