Question:

I have a 2012 Ford fusion with a rear spoiler. What do you recommend for a Trunk Bike Racks that fits 3 bikes

Generally speaking, if a vehicle has a rear spoiler, it will be difficult to mount a trunk mounted bike rack. However, if no part of the bike rack touches the spoiler and the straps can pass underneath or over the spoiler without touching it, then you can use a trunk mount bike rack. Our Fit Guide does not show a fit for your vehicle for any trunk mounted bike rack.

If you were willing to add a hitch to you car, you could use the Draw-Tite Class I Sport Fram receiver hitch #24865. You would also need wiring and a Ball mount. However, even with this solution you will be limited to only 2 bikes on a class 1 hitch. For the carrier, I would recommend either the Thule Helium # TH9042PRO for a premium option or a Thule Camber # TH9058 that is still great but a little more economical.

For the third bike, you could add a roof rack if you do not have one. You could use the Rhino Rack Roof Rack with parts # RRVA126B-2, # RRRLKVA, and # DK149. Then for a roof bike rack you could use the Yakima FrontLoader Wheel Mount Bike Carrier - Roof Mount Item # Y02103.

You would need to research the weight limits for the hitch and the roof of your vehicle. It is possible that 2 on the trunk and one on the roof would work for you.
