I decided to buy the Champion fifth wheel hitch to pull a fifth wheel camper, my 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 already had a B&W goose neck hitch in it. The champion hitch allowed me to also have a fifth wheel hitch with out drilling and mounting more weight to the truck. The instructions for assembly were clear and easy to follow making the assembly of the hitch easy. The hitch fit snug and there is no play in it. The 26' fifth wheel camper pulled nicely, no surging or swaying.
Very impressed with the B&W companion 5th wheel trailer hitch adapter purchased from etrailer.com. The hitch was received in a timely matter. This was installed in a 2016 Dodge Ram Laramie 3500 dually long bed truck and watched an installation video which complimented the included instructions. The B&W companion was a good choice as the hitch can be removed and lifted out in two pieces in order to use the truck bed for other uses. Highly recommend this style over other 5th wheel traditional hitches.

Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter for Recessed Ball - Single Jaw - 21,000 lbs
Put this setup on a 2021 pj flatbed with a recessed gooseneck (believe it's a b&m 30k kit) in it from the factory. The top of the ball is about 1/8"-3/16" lower than the deck. Took a few tries to make everything fit along with some modifications to the set screws. I had to trim off about 1/4" on the bottom set screw to clear my opening. Also I can't set the 5th wheel height to the lowest setting because the upright casting sticks out the bottom of the frame. One could trim that off as well but then you lose the hole for the highest setting. Gonna run in the middle setting and if I have to, I'll trim off the excess to make it sit lower. Bed is on a 2014 Ram 4500. Top of bed to ground with no load is 41.5" at the rear axle. Overall looks like it will work for what I'm doing.

The only recommendation I would have is to have the torque specs for the ball capture pin and the plate yoke bolts on the unit. I just wrote the specs on the unit in silver Sharpie so I would not need to look it up every time. Installed in a 2014 Ram Mega Cab diesel 4x4 which leaves enough room for an RDS 80 gallon aux fuel tank at the front of the bed.

This hitch adapter is heavy duty. It's easy for two people to install in under an hour and all parts fit together well. The instructions were well written in English, which is the official language of our country (USA). The offset adapter works great with my 2011 Ram 2500 4x4 which sits higher due to oversized tires. My shipment was received two days after I ordered it without paying any expedited freight charges! The hitch is easy to ensemble. Great design. Pulled my trailer great! But when I hooked up the second time to the trailer the roll pin that goes in the locking bar fell out. Wasn't a really big deal. But if I hadn't had any tools and a 1/4" bolt with a lock nut I probably won't have been able to hook up. Maybe they could change that. The best adapter from gooseneck to fifth wheel.But all in all very happy with it.
This product is far superior than the rest of the other adapters. It mounts on the gooseneck easy and even if I didnt have a gooseneck trailer or gooseneck hitch on my truck this product is better than any other fifth wheel than that Ive had in the past. Plus it gives me the best of both ways to haul any trailer.??

Really like it gives me more room in the bed of the truck with my hidden hitch. Saves a lot of time and work it’s heavy....it. Costs more than competitors.. but wouldn’t want to trust my safety with a Walmart brand converter hitch just to save a dollar. Short story long I am pleased with my purchase.
Ordered this prior to the arrival of my new Eagle RKS-313. The CAB-C5G was easy to install on the trailer, instructions were straight forward and easy to follow. One season under my belt with a Fifth Wheel, and it's been a Great one. Connect & disconnect are smooth and quick. With the hidden Goose in my Ram 3500, i have ample room for necessities to have a great week/weekend of camping. Very happy with my CAB-C5G!!

Earl - 09/03/2020Awesome product. Best of both fifth and goose put together about time. No annoying rails on my trucks bed, just remove fifth wheel flip gosse over and hides in hole within minutes. 2016 350 Ram. 38' 5R no problem nice setup.

Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box - Lippert 1621/1621HD - 18K GTW - 2K TW
If you have a short bed truck do not buy this gooseneck. At first it seem fine but unless it’s a long bed it’s shorter than you think. If you go up a small incline sideways so the rear of your RV will not scrape it will give enough to crush the side of your truck. I thought the gooseneck would give me a little more length or space and it did not it was actually shorter only in a long bed truck would you get better space
The gen-y hitch is awesome. Very glad I switched from 5th wheel to gooseneck. Love having the extra space and with the removal of the puck ball I have a full open bed. The gen-y torsion system makes for a smooth ride

Installed in about ten minutes, ( I used a bearing puller to seat the bushings ) five minutes to tack weld it into place and done. Pulls better than a fifth wheel hitch IMO. Seems to be made very well. Took two days for deliver. Very satisfied

Quick, easy install. And this thing took the fifth wheel amazingly. My first trip was from Tulsa to Memphis. Most of the ride was 70 cruise control and there were quite a few times I saw the fifth wheel bouncing around in the back, but hardly felt it in the truck. I have a 2019 F350 DRW. The shipping was quick, I bought on a Sunday and had by Wednesday. The install was fairly easy with two people. Just don't forget to retorque the pin box bolts after a few hundred miles. No regrets purchasing this thing.

Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter - Lippert 1621 and 0719 - 20,000 lbs
Overall a great upgrade, but not perfect. Happy to have gone this way from the previous 5th wheel hitch setup. Pros: * Having nothing in the bed of the truck, except when towing. * There is more room for a larger bed chest without the 5th wheel hitch (replaced a B&W Companion slider). * Air bag system seems less jarring on the frame of the 5th wheel than the B& W Companion / Lippert Rotaflex. * Seems to have reduced further what little "chucking" there was with the Companion/Rota-Flex setup. Cons: * Lining up to hitch is a PITA. Reese should really rethink this. * Towing is not as confidence inspiring. The trailer feels like it wallows in rough undulating turns in comparison to the 5th wheel connection. * Sits much lower than the 5th wheel pin box, so at level RV sites the bottom of the hitch is lower than the truck bed. That affects the length of RV site needed as the truck can't back under the trailer to park. * The pinbox structure requires more room in the bed, limiting what can be placed on the sides & rear of the bed. To help with hitching, I'm going to make a magnetic "sighting" system that can be seen through the rear window. something that can be tossed in the bed chest when not in use. Currently I'm using the bed camera (in the CHMSL) along with a camera that I set on the wheel well, and that is marginal at best. It still takes multiple attempts because of the limited tolerance. Once the bed chest is installed the camera will be pretty ineffective.

Installation took 1 hour with 2 people. Made very well. Pulled trailer great and expect ride to get better with break in. I went with 3.5k and on lighter side of recommended king pin weight. Shipping was quick and had email notifications the whole way. Will use etrailer again
Installation was very straight forward, it is heavy so you need something to prop it up for you while you get at least one bolt started in each side. I used the bucket on my tractor to hold it up. I only have one tow in so far for about 50 miles so still early to review. It certainly works as advertised for taking out a lot of the trailer feedback on rough roads, uneven transitions, etc. It is an improvement in ride quality and makes towing a big fifth wheel more comfortable. Necessary? Probably not but it does spoil you a little bit. One problem though that Gen-Y is working on fixing is the ball to pinbox is a little bit longer and I did hit the bed cap at about 60 deg of turn while backing in at an angle. It cleared when I tested it in the flat driveway, but not by much. They are going to come up with a fix. I'm at 7 1/2" clearance from the overhang to the bed caps sitting flat. This is with a '18 Chev Silverado HD 8' bed and a '19 Momentum 351M

This hitch mount is great! I can now swap over from my 5th wheel hitch to a gooseneck in minutes. This is a great product. I had a gooseneck hitch already installed in my pick up but needed to tow my 29 foot 5th wheel. I other mounts to install the 5the wheel to my 2013 Ram but the gooseneck hitch mount was in the way. Found this set up on line at etrailer.com . Fast shipping, Ez to get my order in. 100 % satisfied. Plug and play. Took less than 10 minutes to install.
This product worked great. Used it in a 2016 Ram 2500 4x4 with the B&W turnover ball. The only problem is the safety chains for the B&W wont let this set flat against the bed of the truck. I solved this problem by using a heavy duty 1/4 inch rubber bed mat between the bed and this bracket and cut the rubber around the B&W hole and safety chains. That helped take up the extra space and helped to protect the spray in bed liner from being rubbed. Had no problems towing my fifth wheel and was happy I don't have these rails permanently mounted in my truck bed.
