Best 2017 Ram 2500 5th Wheel Hitches

Does not operate very smoothly. You really need to slam it in when sliding back or forward to get latch to lock. Called Factory and was told to flip over and lube rollers. Not much better. Had to do over again would look at other products. Not impressed!

Great hitch. Very high quality and heavy duty. I pull a 35 ft Jayco fifth wheel and have had no problems with it so far. I would purchase a B&W product again no question.

I have owned this unit for over a year now. Here are the pro's and cons that I have experienced. Pro- I have pulled with this hitch in some really tight spaces in forward and reverse and still have the rear window in tact. Con- Heavy, really heavy. Pro- heavy duty,smooth riding, and double jaw lock makes a great connection. Con- manufacturer recommends 1/8 of separation between the slides on the top of hitch. When backing upon 40' wheeler in some tight spaces it is hard to align without opening the slides a bit more. This is not he issue. Remembering to tighten them in the rush of leaving is the hard part. Pro- once you are attached to your truck there is nothing more you need to worry about until you disconnect. Con- If you are a weekender like me and use your truck for work the rest of the week, you will need at least one person to help lift in or out pre or post travel. Works pretty well with gantry crane.

Excellent hitch. Online order, handled properly, fast shipping and excellent service. Comes in two boxes with complete instructions which are easy to follow and easy to complete. Hitch eliminated all noise while towing and my only wish was that it could be one more set of bolt holes lower as my 2017 Dodge 1ton 4 wheel drive sits up so high that I still have a nose high attitude with 35' Voltage toy hauler, but better than it was. Still have enough room between trailer and truck bed that it could drop another couple of inches. Already raised pin box on trailer as high as it would go. Other than that highly recommend this manufacturer and their hitch!

I am a first time 5th wheel owner who had limited experience towing this way. I have only used my hitch once but so far I am extremely impressed. This hitch is very quiet and the trailer tracked behind my truck like nothing I have ever pulled. I'm getting ready to drive across the country and if this hitch continues to perform like this it will definitely minimize driving stress.

Was as described very heavy, I would have given 5 stars but after installing I tried to take up. Not gonna happen unless I have some kind of hoist.

Too heavy for one person to install unless you did what I had to do (alone without any help). Removed the bolt from the tailgate end of the roller tubes, pulled the tubes out and separated the upper assemble from the lower bed contact assembly. Doing that allowed me to lift each piece into the bed without tracking down a neighbor.

The hitch has worked very well and the swivel head makes for a smooth ride. My only complaint is that the stickers that indicate locked positions. Faded after a month and are now white.....but not a big deal.

well built hitch. Was packaged well looked like it was rolled to my house instead of trucked ,but had no damage or even scratches on it. Was easy to install in pieces. It is heavy, cant get the head to come off the base. The pin comes out easy, but the rubber bushing is real tight in it. It may loosen up with some use. Overall a nice hitch, hooks and unhooks nice an easy.

The products are good. however due to your web page shutting down in the middle of the ordering process, when it came back up the cart showed empty so I ordered the hitch. When it stated there were two items in the cart, I assumed that the installation kit was also ordered. Unfortunately, it wasn't until I received the notice of shipping that I realized the order had been placed for two hitches. I contacted your customer service and explained what happened and was told that since the order had already shipped, there was nothing that he could do. (He did state that if I refused delivery of one of the hitches I would be charged shipping both ways for the one hitch($590), I said that this did not seem fair.

Easy to install and easy to connect to trailer hitch. Ride is smooth when hooked up and the extender is easy to manipulate when connected. A well built piece of machinery I would buy again.

Had a set back on the shipment, but the service and responded was some of the best I've ran across. The equipment came before the give delivery date. Everything was in great condition, good communication.

I think that etrailer requires their employees to lie so as not to have any confrontations with customers on the phone. I placed two orders on 8/23 and immediately received followup emails that order received, order processed by (employee name) and then is in stock with associated time each step completed. Then I noticed that shipping date kept getting 1 day later each day I checked order status. So, I contacted etrailer on day 5, 8/27 and find out my item was not in stock at all and would not be until mid Oct. Well,I then had them order me the same part by a different manufacturer and was told that it was in stock and would still be still be shipped 8/28 and delivered on 8/30, the same day my fifth wheel hitch is being delivered, so everything seemed rectified until I checked order status online the evening of 8/28 and find that the ship date again had been pushed back another day 8/29 with a delivery date of 9/1, (which is a Sunday). Seems that at this rate I may have it sometime in September. Going by their assurance of delivery on 8/30, I arranged to pickup my new camper on 9/5, that seems to be an impossibility at this time because Order #121389499 the installation kit with base rails is a very necessary part of the assembly. So, in closing I can only say that if you do not have the parts to ship, be honest and state the truth. This has made me feel very negative now toward etrailor as I already had become with Camping World. Is there any honesty in the RV parts aftermarket?

Great design and sturdy! I just is on a 2021 ram 2500 6.4 8' bed installing when great, nothing a single person can't handle. I would recommend to anyone.

Heavy duty is an understatement for this hitch it is extremely well built. I chose the free shipping since originally I was not in a rush but as normal thing came up I called etrailer customer service and explained my situation they put a rush on the order and it was here in two days great customer care. One tip I would suggest since this hitch is heavy. I assembled it on the shop floor and then placed it in the bed of the truck only to find out that all the pucks were not level and one would not lock down. It was a simple fit of losing the bolts and allowing it to level out then retighten. I could have avoided this extra step by assembling it in the bed of the truck.

it came just as it was promised. my husband who is 60 put it in all by himself and had no issues. quick and convenient.

First of all, etrailer was awesome to work with while I tried to determine what hitch I wanted, they get 5 starts. As for the hitch, installation was easy and while I feel the hitch works just fine, I would prefer one with "jaws" that lock. I would feel better if it did. That being said, I ordered this hitch simply because it was the lowest one I could find and after using it on several trip, it gets the job done. It can be locked and it easily opens and closes.

Great customer service I ordered online on Sunday night and hitch was delivered on time Friday afternoon. It took me 30 min to assemble. No adjustment needed Only problem was the handle did not slip on. It looks like a large burr was left inside the handle preventing it from sliding all the way on. Extremely frustrating. After drilling and filing on the burr, I gave up and drilled a new hole in the handle so I could put the bolt threw... after etrailer sends me a new handle I’ll change my rating to 5stars

Great fit and finish on the hitch. The mounting rails were perfect for my truck and the video of installation on the website was spot on. The package arrived really quickly and it was all in great shape. I don't know how it could be any better! If I could rate it 6 stars I would!

Everything seems very good so far. Very fast delivery. One damaged box but everything seems fine and nothing missing. I have the hitch together and ready to mount in the truck bed at this point. [Thumbs Up]

This is my first run-in with a fifth wheel, so I spent a lot of time researching as many of the aspects as I could. I knew I didn't want to mount bed rails, so the truck was outfitted with the factory in-bed mounts. That allowed the use of this hitch. Using this setup allows for a clear bed floor by merely unpinning and swiveling the four locks on the leg's ends, then lifting the whole mess up and away. It arrived in two separate boxes: good thing, it's heavy! Knowing that, the individual pieces were placed in the bed where it could be assembled closer to its landing place. The instructions were very clear, and, before we knew it, we had the mount dropped into place. Connecting to the trailer couldn't be easier. With the lever forward and the yellow dot showing through the status port in front, the truck slides back into place with a satisfying "chunk" as the hitch latches on. Drop the safety pin into the latch, make your connects, give one final tug with the tow vehicle so you know the hitch is properly latched, and off you go! Thanks, etrailer!

I HAVE ORDERED 5 PRODUCTS FROM E-TRAILER AND HAVE BEEN VERY SATISFIED WITH ALL OF THEM, ALL TO DO WITH MY CAMPER, TIRES,OUT DOOR CARPET,CURT FIFTH WHEEL AND MOUNTING BRACKETS, FIFTH WHEEL PIN SUPPORT.

I have not towed with it yet but the build quality is excellent. The finish is perfect. The slider function is very smooth. It was very easy to get in the truck, but not sure that is unique to any modern puck system. The cotter pin on the castle bolts on the puck locking handles were a bit finicky. It is heavy, but not as heavy as I thought. I think I have a few more years in me for moving it myself!

my companion 5th wheel hitch(rvk3370) hitch was delivered on 3/11, I installed it in a couple hours on 3/12. It was a piece of cake, the delivery was made with a lift gate truck that I back my truck up to and had the driver lower the lift gate down onto my tailgate, I unpackaged the hitch and was able to Maneuver it by myself into the puck system on my truck, I have the slider hitch so much heavier than the standard one, but still very easy for my 65 year old body to handle, the B t W was the only hitch I considered because of the ruggedness and quality of their products my truck is a 2023 Ford F 350

Needed a new set up for my 2020 GM 2500 with standard bed. I think the 20,000# B&W is going to work out great. I elected not to use a slider hitch based on successful past experience with my previous truck pulling my 5th wheel. The B&W is well made, high quality and intuitive products. I did nottice this hitch is not as adjustable as the previous Patriot 16k but I think it will work fine.

Just got back from a two-week road trip out west, the new trailer hitch performed without a snag! Easy docking and undocking, very nice to have a nice smooth ride. We are very impressed and thankful for an excellent product. The package in which the hitch arrived was in pretty rough shape, but all the pieces arrived. There is one place on the deck itself where it took some scuffing of the paint from whatever it was banged on during shipping. We are going to have to touch up that place to keep it from rusting in the elements. All in all, this was a great buy. Thanks

Good quality. No movement of pin like our old hitch when braking and starting. Had a couple missing bolts in the kit as the cardboard box was thrashed when we got it. Called etrailer and they sent us a kit right away.

I just put the Q24 in today it is a very quality hitch. everything went very smooth, It replaced a slide bar hitch that came out of the top of the hitch. I can see that this Q24 will not do that. Very well made and made in the USA, i like that.

Great hitch. Easy to put together. No chucking when pulling the 5th wheel.
