Was tired of the movement and clunking with my old hitch between the hich and rails and the kingpin and locking jaws.
This hitch completely does away with all the noise. The absolute best 5th wheel hitch I have even owned. A great made in America product. Thououghly impressed.
This product is heavy, very heavy, but it should be for what it is used for. Installation was really easy and the directions are spot on. I installed this onto the B&W Gooseneck hitch and all parts mated up perfectly. Looking forward to towing with this when I get a toy hauler this spring.
If you have to have a slider this is the one to buy. I’ve now driven with it about 5000 miles..the only down side is that you have to hook and unhook with the truck perfectly straight in line with the trailer. But it does work perfectly as advertised.
This makes life real easy. The hitch works great and is a real improvement over my older model.

Superior. My old Reese 16K served me well, but after 10 years of service including the AL-CAN highway, it creaked and moaned when loaded and banged around when not loaded. When I got a new truck that was 5th wheel prepped from the factory I chose the Curt hitch over the Reese, if for no other reason than it displayed first on the search list. I’m glad I did. First of all, the unit arrived in two heavy boxes. The boxes had a few dings, but were in pretty good condition. The contents of each box was packed well with styrofoam. None of the pieces sent to me were bent, broken or scratched. The instructions were pretty straightforward and easy to read. I’m 66 and completed the installation without assistance. I used the formula provided in the instructions to calculate the height of the assembly and the results were pretty much to my satisfaction. I did have to adjust the locking lugs and tighten each castle nut one notch to where there was a little resistance when locking. PROS: it’s solid, no wiggle; the head has a square rubber bumper the fits in the base that keeps the head from bouncing around when unloaded; coupling and locking indicators can easily be see from the cab and provide visual status of the jaws; interlocking double jaws. CONS: none at this time. I’m a happy camper.
The Demco Hitch is exactly what I wanted. When I did not receive all the parts, I contacted Etrailer and they immediately sent out the missing parts. Thank you Etrailer. I would highly recommend them for your trailer needs. Service was great.

Received the hitch with all the parts and easy to install. Deliver had some problems UPS left both packages in driveway. Someone used about half a box of staples so unpacking was difficult. Hole in the box but all parts were there. The video says it's easy to remove the fifth wheel by two pins and cap. What they don't say is the rubber holding the shaft will need wd40 and a pry bar to get it apart. Good thing rubber part is available. This is a well made hitch just had some shipping problems.
This hitch was extremely easy to install! Although the locking handle maneuvered slightly different than the Curt videos I saw online, the intuitive design made it a breeze to set up. As a first time 5th-wheeler, this product has exceeded my expectations so far.
I have not towed yet with this unit, but I feel confident that this product will be able to tow my 16k lb 5th wheel.
My first slider hitch. Works great, coupling is easy!

it works good i dont like that you can't unhook your trailer in less the truck is perfectly straightforward .you can't remove safety pin on handle so to get around that issue before I park i turn pin upside down and remove it from the bottom of handle
I have had this hitch for a year now. I tow a 38 ft 5th wheel approx. 16000 lbs. It is very easy to hitch and un-hitch. Very stable ride. I think this is a great product. Very important to keep it lubed, but it is easy to lube.

The hitch is sturdy and seems safe while towing. I've had some issues with getting the hitch to lock down and release but keeping the thing greased seems to be the key to consistent performance.

Great hitch used it on a few trips already driven over 3,000 miles. Love the dual jaws and the adjustability, my truck sits a bit higher and I was able to adjust this down to get it where it needed to be- even with the Reese adapter plate(see photo). The polyurethane is also a nice touch, makes the ride a little more cozy then a standard hitch. Use with the provided lube plate

Just received the 3 boxes for my hitch and the first thing I see when I open the box with the jaw head is that the plastic locked indicator is busted, also the box containing the legs is crushed/ re taped
Yes you can install but Need to force it to install
holes Won't line up perfectly
I don't know if I can remove ??

Had a great experience with a great product. So refreshing to see something actual works as advertised. The site said it would fit my truck, be under the rail line and that was exactly the case. It takes about thirty minutes of real work to install. Working alone, it took me an hour - counting all the breaks. The GREEN/RED/YELLOW indicator on the handle makes it simple to know when it's locked, unlocked or ready to lock... Looking forward to hooking up the Toy Hauler.
So far the equipment is perfect. The boxes it came in were pretty messed but they are a heavy product so I would expect some damage to the box. I would have expected a bit more of a box for such a heavy item. I received them 2 separate days and this came down to how it was being moved on the label. Ups was unable to read it and had to reprocess the label and deliver the second half to me 2 days later.

The A20 hitch and R20 slider are outstanding products.
One issue I had was the differing instructions on bolting the two together.
The A20 instructions are for bolting to stationary’leg’ base. The R20 slider instructions are what I used and worked very well.
This is a nice hitch but i had a few problems. The least of which and did not affect the rating I gave was that the leg sets do not have the perforated blue cover on their sides but a palm sized M5 medallion. This was a Reese change and is not a fault of etrailer.
The main concern is that I had to reorder the leg set due to what I thought were under tapped holes. The new leg set came in with he same issue. It turns out that Reese did not mask the threads and paint in the tapped holes caused the bolts to jam up on the paint. One bolt was ruined and the other would have been too if I had tried it. I'm not sure if the tapped hole were ruined as well. I bought a M16x2 tap and chased the holes to fix the problem. In the attached photo you can see that the cuttings were black paint and not shiny metal.
Love it. Absolutely love it. My old one (different brand) was more than ready to be replaced. No more pulling on pin release, backing up, going forward, using hammer to release pin. No more beating up on my truck from the hitch.

We have the Anderson Hitch installed on our 2017 Ford SuperDuty and pull a Reflection 337RLS. We have traveled over 4,000 miles and have been extremely satisfied. The hitch allows plenty of clearance between 5th wheel, bed, and the truck cab. Hook-up and disconnect has always been easy, even with RV lots that were uneven dirt lots. I use Curt thin rubber sound dampeners (item 16900) and this provides a quiet, tight fit between the rails and hitch. Of course the light weight makes it easy to remove when not towing and less weight when you are towing. A great product for the right truck, trailer combination.
After receiving the kit i saw another one on the shelf at a local store. I noticed the one on the shelf had a steel ball cup mounted to it. Mine did not have that part. I called andersen and asked if the ball cup was available for purchase seperately. They told me no need to purchase bevause they will ship me one for free! Later on, i towed my trailer to a camp site and upon arrival i could not get the release pin to open to drop the trailer while we stayed in it. I called andersen and described the problem i had, they shipped a whole new block and cable assembly for free!! I am ver pleased with the product and also impressed with the level of customer service!
Today on our 2015 Ram 3500 Heavy Duty Crew Cab we're going to be installing the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch for Ram Towing Prep Package vehicles, rated for 25,000 pounds, part number BWRVK3600. There's a handle on each side that has the black rubber piece on it. As you lift up, that's what releases it so that when you set it down on, it catches and locks it in place. You'll then need to take the pin, go back through, put your clip in. You need to do that for both sides. Now the head can pivot forward and backwards. Now that we have the head attached, to release the jaws so that you can hook up your camper or trailer, you remove the pin.
On the B&W 5th wheel trailer hitch # BWRVK3600 for Ram trucks that have the OEM prep package, the jaw release handle will not extend further back that the forward pucks in the truck bed.
The head is attached to supports that can be positioned in such a way as to increase the distance between the head and the back of the truck cab and is further illustrated in the instructions I have linked for you. This adjustment is designed to give you more clearance when towing but would... view full answer...
The B and W Companion Hitch # BWRVK3600 is designed to fit the underbed rail kit you have in your 2015 Ram 3500 and would be the correct hitch to use if you have a long bed truck since this a fixed hitch. If you have a short bed truck instead and need a slider to gain additional turning clearance you'd instead want the # BWRVK3670.
I noticed in your original title you mentioned mounting hardware so if you instead already have a Companion hitch and were looking for a way to... view full answer...
The best option we have for locking a fifth wheel hitch like the part # C16044 to the bed of your truck is a cable lock like part # e98891. You would want to route the cable through the head of the hitch and through a stake pocket hole in the bed of the truck or any other closed loop like a tie down anchor. view full answer...
The Curt A25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Dual Jaw - 25,000 lbs # C16180 is the newer model of the Curt Q25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Dual Jaw - 25,000 lbs # C16265. The A25 has an interlocking dual jaw for increased security. The A25 also has built in grease zerk fittings to make maintenance just a little easier. It also has a 1 pin head removal compared to the 2 pin option of the Q25.
They are both nice 5th wheel hitches, but the A25 has those couple of really nice features... view full answer...
The Demco Hijacker Autoslide is very similar to the PullRite Superglide hitch. They both use the pivoting head to determine the turning clearances needed. The Demco Hijacker Autoslide has the encased mechanism underneath where the Superglide is more exposed. They both use capture plates to hold to the pin box so the head will pivot and give you the proper amount of slide. Both will use adapters of different styles to fit the factory pucks in your Ram.

The Companion hitch you have now is designed for a B and W gooseneck hitch which uses a hitch ball that has a square shank. If your current hitch has a round shank design that would indicate it's not a B and W hitch and you'd need something different. Can you let me know what brand of hitch your truck has? Are there possibly pucks around the gooseneck hole that a hitch could attach to? view full answer...

How tight a turn you will be able to make with a trailer attached to the PullRite SuperLite Trailer Hitch on your 2015 Ram 3500 with the 6-1/2 foot bed is going to depend a lot on the width of your 5th wheel trailer. There is a simple formula you can use to see if you will be able to make a 90 degree without any cab interference (which usually requires a sliding hitch or pivoting pin box on short bed trucks like yours).
The formula is as follows:
(A + B) - C = Clearance

Yes, you absolutely can put a 5th wheel hitch on a 2015 Ram 3500 with air suspension. I recommend a custom install kit like B&W Companion Hitch with Custom Underbed Installation Kit, # BWRVK3500-5W and # BWGNRK1314-5W. This system with the underbed rails gives you the most use of your truck when not hauling your 5th Wheel and seamlessly integrates when you do. Although the underbed mount is ideal, some prefer the above the bed rails which will allow more hitch options. I've... view full answer...
5th wheel hitch jaws vary in thickness. On the Curt hitch # C16545-16021 the jaws are 5/8-inch thick. On others, thickness can be greater, such as 1-inch or even 1-1/8-inch as with some Reese and B&W hitches like the # BWRVK3600.
Hitch height range is a matter of design choice. All standard 5th wheels offer a height range of a few inches and this will vary by brand. Certain tow vehicles might benefit from a shorter or taller hitch depending on several factors including the... view full answer...
The first thing you will need to do before purchasing any equipment is to extensively research towing, in particular 5th wheel towing. A good place to start is our 5th wheel help article which I have attached for your review.
There are three different types of hitches to consider when towing a 5th wheel trailer. The first one is a fixed hitch. A fixed hitch features a center mounted hitch that does not move or account for clearance issues with the cab. These are generally... view full answer...
Since you have along bed 2015 Ram 3500 clearance from the trailer to the cab of the truck should be good enough to allow you to make tight turns. Unless the nose of your trailer is extremely wide and you have a non-extended pin box on your trailer I can't see you having any clearance issues there.
In terms of bed to trailer overhang clearance you would want to have around 6 inches there with the trailer being towed level for an optimum setup.
With the trailer level measure... view full answer...
A Sidewinder pin box is the way to go when towing a fifth wheel trailer with a truck with a short bed truck like your 2015 Ram 3500 with hitch prep package.
You will need to remove the pin box of the trailer and replace it with a Sidewinder pin box. Sidewinders are pin box specific so you will first need to know what pin box you have now in order to pick out the correct one.
There should be a sticker or a stamping on the OEM pin box of the trailer that will list the pin... view full answer...
To install your Reese 16k fifth wheel hitch like # RP30047 in the bed of your 2015 Ram 3500 you will just need a fifth wheel rail kit confirmed to fit the truck.

I would be happy to explain that for you. The reason some hitches like sliders have the option to move away from the axle is for clearance when parking or turning into tight spaces. When you haul a 5th wheel you absolutely want it directly over your rear axle. The six inches of adjustment built into the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch item # BWRVK3600 you referenced is for clearance and will not affect your ability to haul your 43' RV with your 2015 Ram 3500 Long Bed. First, the toolbox will likely have to come out because even if it doesn't interfere with the hitch base it could interfere with the pin box on the trailer when making tight turns.
To install a slider hitch in your 2015 Ram 3500 short bed with the factory prep package you will need an adapter since none of the slider hitches are a direct fit in the Ram puck system. And for a hitch, I recommend going with a slider that has the most travel to help make tight turns.
