K-Source Custom Towing Mirrors Installation - 2010 Ford F-150

Today on our 2010 Ford F-150 Super Crew Cab, we're going to be doing a test fit on the K-Source Snap & Zap Custom Towing Mirrors for the driver and passenger side, part number KS81810. It offers us a wide inaudible 00:00:14 view. It's going to allow us to safely and easily change lanes, pass, park, or even back up while towing a trailer or camper. As you can see, I'm visible in the towing mirror but not the factory mirror. Now if I take a few steps in towards my trailer, as you can see, there's no blind spot by the way we have it set up. This is a view you get with just your factory mirror.

CIPA Custom Towing Mirrors Installation - 2010 Ford F-150

Today on our 2010 Ford F150, were going to do a test fit of the Towing Extension Mirrors by CIPA, part number 11801 for the driver side. First, we need to take the two wedges out of our install kit and see which one is going to work best. The wedge is going to fit underneath the towing mirror and act as a brace to hold our mirror extension in place. So as you can see, our curved one is going to work the best as the other one doesnt fit as well. This is how the wedge system works, fit in the pre-form groove of the mirror versus the other style. Now weve determined if this is the wedge we want to use, we need to add a protective cover.

Longview Custom Towing Mirrors Installation - 2010 Ford F-150

Today on this 2010 Ford F-150 we are going to install part number CTM2300B, the Longview Towing Mirror. We have our pieces laid out for the parts we are going to do on the passengers side. We have our passengers side mirror, our hook, our knob, and two felt pads. This application doesnt require pads. On other vehicles it may, if you find a mirror rubbing on a factory mirror more than you want, you can always put these in place.
