Published 12/14/2015 >
Question:
2010 f-150 super crew lariot 4x4 , how come the mirrors are not cut out in the front like they are in the back so the turn signal indicator can be seen , are there any plans to have that area left open in the future , is there a reason why the mirror does not have an opening in it to expose all or part of the turn signal indicator , do you think the customer could cut an opening in the mirror to expose the turn signal indicator , thank you , I think thats part number 11801 and 11802

The outside turn signal of the mirror you have on your 2010 Ford F-150 is located in such an area that there are no slip on mirrors that will allow them to be visible. Since that is the side of the mirror that will be facing the wind the don't like to cut out areas of the mirror on that side since it could create wind noise and trap debris.
The turn signals on the front end of your truck will still be highly visible so you really wouldn't have much to worry about. The rear facing turn signals on the mirrors will still be visible. Since the mirrors are closer to the front of the vehicle the rear facing signals would be more valuable than the front facing signals since they are closer to the front turn signals.
