Best 2005 Ford Escape Cargo Carriers

I've taken one 1500 mile trip so far with the Yakima RocketBox Pro 14 mounted on my RAV4. I found the box to be quiet and not to have much impact on gas mileage. I lost maybe 1 mpg with it mounted to my flush mounted Whisperbars. I drove through some very heavy rain and had a minimal amount of water inside under a thin rubber mat I had placed on the bottom of the box; none on my luggage got wet. This box works great to give me more carrying capacity when traveling with my two crated Dobermans.

Perfect fit on my 2014 Jetta Sportwagen. Lets me accomodate my lighter weight camping gear and leave the heavier stuff in the car. Very secure and aerodynamic and had very little impact on my mileage. My only issue was I could never find the serial number on my rocketbox.

easy to assamble. wobbles a little in my 2 inch hitch but works.

I use this on my 2022 F250, when hauling my cab over. I was able to remove the folding part and attach it straight to my hitch to get it closer to the back of the truck. It’s light weight, decently sturdy, and easy to assemble.

the good: strong. lots of anchor points. secure once assembled. gaps between bars are small, stuff doesn't slip through and hit my roof. reasonably priced. mounts securely. on and off relatively easily. holds a good amount of cargo. weight limit is more than my roof can handle anyway. the bad: assembly is a pain and didn't fit exactly. small rust spots developing. heavy. plastic wind deflector cracked from a rock. lots of wind noise driving at high speeds. overall. i recommend this basket. had some assembly issues because the two pieces didn't fit into each other easily, one side is slightly off-center. wish the plastic wind deflector was metal instead. i've used it several times and have no real issues with it.

The MegaWarrior is a great Roof Rack. The only thing I didn’t like was the fit to the roof rails. My rails that I purchased from you are shaped like aircraft wings and the basket clamps seem to be designed for round rails. However I was able to complete the attachment and the rack remained secure for a 2,000 mile trip.

Works great for camping trips. Also, adapted carrier to hold a electric wheel chair which a foldable ramp (adapted) is used to get it up on the carrier.

This cargo carrier is sturdy and works well on a Mazdaspeed 3. The rise and slight angle make it so clearance is not an issue. The carrier is very easy to put together. I did install the 8 bolts through the connecting plates in reverse of the instructions so cargo would not be scratched or torn. It adds so much cargo space for our growing family. The only drawbacks are a lack of license plate frame and reflectors which are easily added with very little cost. I used a Cruiser license mount plate with zip ties and Reese DOT approved reflectors. I don't plan to use the carrier at night but there are many license plate lights that can be added as well. I also purchased the Rola carrier bag for hauling luggage and other indoor items.

Excellent car top carrier (not that I've had many to compare it to). Easy to install and remove, sturdy, and fits well on our Toyota Siena. Opening it is a little tricky, as sometimes the top sticks to the bottom a bit. Adds a lot of extra storage to our car, great for when we go camping. Great experience with etrailer.

Excellent roomy cargo box. My wife’s luggage even fit (see photo). Fit the top of my Forester like it was meant to be there and the hatch opens without obstruction. Great shipping by etrailer.com via Estes freight shipping (almost overkill on shipping).

Got the CC-100 for my travel trailer along with a lockable rattle proof lock pin and 20 Cu.Ft. etrailer cargo bag.I added some reflective tape on the back and sides. Ready to roll...

Don't recommend this product for anyone wanting to transport a bike over 250lbs. It's two separate pieces bolted together, and after setup I didn't feel confident in its ability to hold my Honda ct110 just by the look of it. The bike's wet weight is 203lbs, and when I mounted my bike to this unit it didn't feel sturdy at all. The photos I included show where the four bolts easily started to concave, I didn't feel like I was over tightening. So, beware of this if you do get this product. After I knew this wasn't the product for me I did try contacting their customer service to see what they could do, but didn't hear back from them at all. So without any hope for a resolution, this ended up being donated to the local goodwill. Hope this helps others think twice about purchasing.

Survived multiple trips with my Svartpilen. I have thick offroad tires that do not sit down in the channels well, but most won't have that issue.

Overall the quality is good it fits well with my build and easy to install but one complaint with the front panel don't tighten the screws down to much or it will bend the panel didn't notice that till after I attached it to my roof

The product arrive ahead of schedule. Etailer kept us informed throughout the shipment and baby sat the product straight to our door. I put the Pro series Cargo Carrier together in about 20 minutes or less. Smooth well built and easy to assemble. I am looking forward to many year of fine service from what appears to be a quality product backed by profession follow through. If it performs as well as the company did delivering it then I expect to be well satisfied. Looks grey and installed with a well engineered fit. (Well Done)

One year in and still going strong. I use this for carrying the trash cans to the dump . I had to get creative about how to strap them on so they don't fall off, but that was not a problem. I have also used it for carrying luggage. It is very stable and is holding up extremely well. I highly recommend this item.

Came late in the afternoon, put it together and mounted on the Escape in about and hour. Should work just fine for our trip.

This is a great product to haul extra cargo on any vehicle. I have a ford escape and I use it all the time traveling or just going to town to put extras on. I have two totes that fit perflectly in the carrier and are water proof, so it is easy to haul anything. Service at E trailer is awesome.

This Cargo Carrier is all that I expected. I trust e-trailer products for the performance of the staff smooth on time delivery and their Product quality is second to no similar unit. I recommend this 24x60 Carrier and advise it is well worth the money and minimal assembly effort. I recommend others buy from e-trailer they stand behind their products and the on-line Video assist with assembly is really excellent.

I used this for 3 10 hr+ trips now and it has performed flawlessly. plenty of room and capacity. And it also sits high enough to clear the dual exhaust on my 2013 Ford escape without restricting access to my rear cargo area. I would also recommend purchasing the piece that stabilizes the hitch it really help and create a snug fit with no rattles. All in all I am very pleased with my purchase I will definitely come back to Etrailer.com for future purchases

After a year of dependable use the SportRack Vista XL Cargo Box continues to perform to my needs, wants, and expectations. The 2 attributes that shine the most are ease of access/cargo loading (rear access vs. side) and ease of off/on (lightweight and access to the U-bolt hardware). While the overall quality of the materials and hardware are not quite "Excellent", they're darn close. For my needs I'm very happy with this cargo box and the price point makes it a better option the the more expensive brands. It may not be as cool and groovy as a Th*** or Yak*** box but it gets the job done.

The Roof Box was as described and fit great -- Nice. Shipping however was not good, trucker dropped it and the skid at the foot of the driveway -- It looked like it had been crushed and dropped. There was some slight damage, but we accepted it as complaining would be more trouble than it is worth. E Trailer should vet their carriers better -- no care taken with this shipment.

Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the products I bought. Your communications are excellent; shipping was performed in an expedient manner and the tracking of the packages was much appreciated. I'm not sure I'll be buying anything else from you (I can't imagine needing another tow bar again) but will surely recommend your company if asked.
