The Sear cargo boxes were made for them by Thule. Although the original mounting kits are no longer available it is easy enough to adapt another u-bolt mounting kit to work well on this rooftop cargo box. It really just depends on the type of roof rack and the dimensions of that rack's two crossbars.

The serial number of the cargo box unfortunately won't help you find the key number. You'll need a Yakima Control Key, part # Y8007835. Use the key to remove the lock core, and you'll be able to see the key number engraved on the side of the lock core. When you insert the control key, apply a little bit of side pressure to the key, at which time you should be able to slide the lock core free. The bearings in trailer hubs are measured to very precise dimensions, to the nearest thousandth of an inch, such as 1.234-inches. To find a suitable replacement hub to fit on your existing trailer spindles either the bearing part numbers or these precise measurements are needed to ensure you select a hub that fits on the spindles. I checked with Curt and for your 2018 BWM X3 the part # C13387 is a confirmed fit and they state that the hands free liftgate will still work once installed. You'll just have to kick to either side of the hitch opening or make a wider movement with your foot.
