Hello neighbors, I'm Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at our Scrubblade Shadeblade. It's a windshield wiper blade that's hybrid style, and it's 22-inches long. Now, folks, again, this is an all-weather hybrid-style wiper and it has dual blades to help provide crystal clear visibility on the road. So, again, it's got two blades. The outer blade is gonna scrub away the mud, the bugs, the road grime, and that inner blade's gonna just finish clearing away any remaining water and debris and that kind of stuff.
Now if you look here, it's got these like raised triangular things on the blade. Those are what's called their patented scrubbers, and they're on the outside of both blades, and they basically cut through that road grime and stuff like that. Now, one thing to point out, these are not rubber blades, they're actually silicone blades. So, silicone blades are fairly new. They've been around for a few years, but they actually, in my opinion, clear away water a lot faster, smoother, and usually leave you a cleaner windshield overall.
Now these will hold up to heat and UV rays really good. Now, the only thing here that's rubber is the outside part here. It's rubber-covered rather, and that just helps prevent wind lift by giving it a nice aerodynamic profile. Now as you can see, these are flexible. They will fit the contour shape of your windshield.
Very simple installation. There's a center tab here you simply lift up and then you would insert this onto the arm of your wiper blade, on the arm of your windshield wiper arm on your vehicle. There are four different attachments, so depending on your style, you would click in the attachment you need for your specific arm. Now keep in mind the instructions that come with this will show you those options. You just match up which one looks like your old one, and you should be good to go.
Now, one last thing to mention, we've had these out for a few years. We do get every once in a while a few reviews that say, "Hey, these are kind of squeaky." Keep in mind they're silicone, not rubber. So, again, they are gonna fit a lot more, more smoothly on the windshield. If for some reason you get that squeaking, first, try to clean off the windshield. If that doesn't make a difference, you can actually invert this and spin it around and reinstall it. Seems like they are better than stock. Haven't used them in rain/snow yet so will update once I have the opportunity.

These were easy to add and I quickly saw some benefit in a recent rain where they helps "srub off" some bug splatter. They did not immediately remove it, but through out a 45 min drive and light rain I saw a significant improvement at the end of my trip.
I did not need the red color and originally wanted normal black scrubblades but they do fit with my black and white rubicon really nice given red trim highlights.

I didn't know they were a Rain-X covered wiper blade. They wipe good except they have to be extra wet to stop the squeaking and they leave a film on there which if there's any moisture on the windshield and you go underneath of a street light it makes it harder to see

Plugged my vehicle year make and model into the website, was given the sze that would supposedly fit and I was given two of the same size. So apparently these guys don’t j kw how wiper blades work and that you need two different sizes.

Best wipers I've ever had. Three relatives with same vehicle so I bought a pair for each of them. Worth the money
They fit quite well on my F150 Lightning. The j hook didn't need any of the adapters making it a 2 minute job to install. I'm not sure about the "scrubbing" but the wipers do a good job with water. I've only had them installed for a week, so longevity is yet to be seen.
I do like the blue wiper color as an accent for the Lightning.
I haven't had a chance to use them driving in the rain yet but they work great in the drive through car wash getting the bugs off of the windshield. I bought the red option. Goes great with my red exterior paint. They snapped on just as easy as the OEM blades came off. Took me about 2 minutes to install. Time will tell on how well they hold up in this West Texas heat. If they do and continue to perform well, I will be a return customer.
