Hey, there neighbors. Kevin here with etrailer. And today, we're gonna be taking a look at it and showing you how to install the ClearPlus Symphony All Season Windshield Wiper Blades here on our 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500. If you're tired of having a streaky windshield, maybe you're like me, you've got a tint on the front, so it's already kind of dark, you're already losing a little bit of visibility. And then when those inclement weather situations hit, you're kind of really trying to peer through your windshield while you're making those trips around town, and you wanna make it a lot clearer, so that way you are nice and safe, and you aren't potentially running into anyone else. Swapping out those windshield wiper blades is going to be a big help in that issue.
But finding the right ones might be a bit more of a challenge for you, which is why we have gone ahead and added all this into our fit guide, so that way we can make it a little bit easier for you. Now, there's gonna be a couple of different options when it comes to the specific ones that are gonna fit our Silverado 1500, but I'm gonna be trying out the split beam version today which is the Symphony All Season. And since this is an all season one, and I had the clear plus signature before, I really did wanna try this one out and see what the difference is between these two. You know, installation of these blades is gonna vary depending on your specific arm for your windshield wiper blades, but that being said, they have a bunch of different connectors for you included in that kit, so you can easily get that swapped out. Now, I know not everybody has the finger dexterity or maybe they have arthritis in their fingers, and it's really hard to kind of pop those things in and out.
And if that's the case for you, you don't have to worry about it. You can check out our dealer locator and enter in your zip code to find a shop near you and get these professionally installed. If you are wanting do these yourself though, it's really simple, I'll walk you through it. One of the most common things that we're gonna be replacing on our vehicle is going to be our windshield wiper blades because over time, the UV rays hitting the wiper and just the constant working back and forth and fighting any kind of grime that might be stuck to your windshield's eventually gonna wear out that blade on there and usually, it'll start to kind of fall off. You'll start to see big streaks not getting kind of pulled anytime it's wiping.
And that's exactly what I'm having right now. I get about a four-inch wide kind of streak across here, especially today 'cause it's been raining. So, driving into work and then also to the gas station earlier, I was kind of having a hard time seeing, so as you can see, right here, the blade has completely split off in the center, and it is no longer doing its job. It's not putting even pressure down and wiping away all that water. But that being said, I've had these blades on for a little bit over two years, got a lot of life out of 'em, and it's just kind of recently started to give me this issue.
So, starting off with the install here, you just gotta kinda look at your hook. I'm gonna pull away this little guard that's preserving the wiper blade here, get that outta the way. And with ours, I have just a simple popping method where it just clips right in and pops into that little square opening. If you look at the back of your packaging, it's got every type of way to get this put in here. I mean, they brag that they've got a 98% fitment rate with vehicles on the market today. So, this is got a lot of different options for you. You're just gonna wanna pop yours off however it is hooked in, and then figure out which one is gonna be the matching style for your specific setup. So, with ours, I do need to swap mine out. I'm gonna be switching over to that C. So, on this, all you gotta do is just pop it straight out. It's got one little kind of pin just popped into there. So, if you push that off, you can switch to whichever one is your specific setup. Like I said, for me, it's the C, so I'm gonna snap that into place. These are directional. So, you'll see on the attachment point, that piece that you have, it's gonna have an arrow on it. And then on the windshield wiper blade itself, it's gonna have another arrow. So, that way, you can always make sure that you're putting this in the correct orientation. So, now, that I got that on, I'm gonna go swap out my other blade. (wiper blade thuds) Now, we had both swapped out, we've tested them. We are getting a nice solid wipe across here. We don't have all those streaks like I previously had with my last blades. So, that is gonna do it for our look at and installation of the ClearPlus Symphony All Season Windshield Wiper Blades here on our 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500. My name's Kevin.
