How's it going, everyone It's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install these Scrubblade platinum windshield wipers on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. All right, we're out right now. It's actually raining pretty good where we are. Not enough for the wiper blades to be running at full speed but enough where they're actually gonna be needed. As you can see, it does a pretty decent job clearing most of the water away.
Towards the bottoms of the blades, it does look like it might be streaking just a little bit. Can't tell if that's the windshield itself or the blades, but overall, they're doing a fine job. These are replacement wiper blades. They're all weather, so they're suitable for rain, sleet, and snow. They come with a dual blade build.
This outer blade here is for larger debris, bugs, and road debris like that. The inner blade is going to clean up the rest of the smaller debris as well as the rain or snow. The inner blades themselves are made of a nano-graphite. The outside of the actual blades themselves is just a durable rubber housing that's gonna protect the blades. It's gonna be low profile blades as well, so that's gonna help prevent it from lifting up in the wind.
Overall, these blades were relatively straightforward to install, once we figured out the adapters that we needed 'cause we did need two separate pieces to get them on, but you can check out how we did that now. To install our new blades, we first have to remove the old blades. We've gone ahead and removed the other one but we'll remove this one just to show you how it works. Pretty simple. You have to push this button down and as you can see, that releases the rest of the blade.
You might have to get a tool to push the button down. So let me grab that real quick. So using that tool to push this button further in, it just slides out just like that. Before we put this blade on, we're gonna have to talk about some adapters because we don't have a regular J-hook style. And the first thing we're going to need is this wing adapter here. That's the part that's actually going to be slipping into the blade holder. And we need this base plate that we're going to replace this with. These other three, we just wanted to show they we're also included, but we don't need those. First thing we need to do is to remove the part that's already in the blades. As you can see, it's held at the bottom here. If you pinch these together, you can pull that right out. We'll replace that with the base plate that we mentioned before. You do have to use a little bit of force to get it in there so don't be afraid. It'll snap into place, you'll hear it, just like that. And we can also put this wing part, this adapter, on the top as well. Again, it does take a little bit of force, so don't be afraid of that either and you'll hear that snap into place as well. So one thing I need to mention is that we do have a towel put down here because this is metal. If we leave it open, it's spring loaded. So if it does spring back, it could damage your windshield. So before we put this on, I want to show you that these wings actually do fit back into the adapter itself. So you close those up and it's pretty straightforward once you figure out all the adapters, you just slide it in. Might have to come in at a bit of an angle but you should hear it snap into place and then you're on. Now we can get our towel out of there, fold it down gently, repeat the same thing on the passenger side as well. In our case, we didn't show it, but they're the exact same, so it's the same exact process. Overall, I think these wiper blades do just a fine job. I think as far as replacement blades go, there's not really anything better or worse that I would be looking for. They seem like they'd be durable enough. It's nice that they do come with those adapters, so depending on the actual windshield wiper style that you have, it'll probably work for you. That was a look at the Scrubblade platinum windshield wipers and how to install them on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500.

All-weather wiper has 2 blades with raised triangle scrubbers to cut through the toughest road grime. The outer blade scrubs away debris, while the inner blade clears anything left behind for clear visibility. Designed to fit your vehicle.I just installed the "scrubblade premium" wiper blades on my vehicle. Haven't had the opportunity to actually use them yet, but I am impressed with the quality of the product, ease of installation and overall appearance. I look forward to seeing how the blades actually perform this Winter. As usual, "etrailer" was a PLEASURE to deal with and, I must say, that I have never been disappointed with the quality of any of their products that I have purchased in the past. Thanks again etrailer.
My daughter needed blades for her Silverado. I was tired of spending $40 on blades that didn’t work all that well to begin with and only had an effective life of a couple of months. I put them on her truck with the windshield covered with a heavy coat of pollen. She hit the washer and it was gone in one cycle. They even got some of the residual bug parts. At first glance the do very well. Interested to see how long they last.

They are holding out very well. There is no sign of wear. She says that they keep the windshield clean. Her only complaint is that they squeak a little in very light rain. Definitely be buying again.
Most products I've gotten from etrailer have been great, up until this product. The adapter attachment did not work for putting it onto the subaru. This made them worthless, so I ended up going to the local subaru dealer and getting wiper blades for the same cost. I was able to make the other wipers I purchased for the Durango work, but the "scrubblade" itself does not appear to do any better than a typical wiper blade. Thumbs down on this product.
Quality of the Blades is excellent and install was a snap.

Wippers still working great as far as cleaning the Windshield only draw back is they rub on Windshield when its raining lightly.
the wiper works great, but the clip holding it on isn't the best design , while removing snow from windshield , I have had it come undone, so now I have to make sure its ON< when I am done removing snow, never had that with any other wiper blade in 40+ yrs of driving
but do like the way they clean the window, so?
They clean well, but they also squeak a lot. I'll probably go back to Bosch Icon blades when they become available again.

Still cleaning well, but still very noisy. The first blade seems to clean too well the second is then squeaking across already clean glass.
I bought these because of the Michelin name, the twin blade and scrubbable design. Awesome overall quality which I believe will give wonderful service for a long time. Thank you etrailer for providing an answer to the question: "Where is the best products for my vehicle needs?" Great job folks, great job.
Appear to be a quality wiper but only weather conditions will tell the truth . Ask me in 3 months

Well, they’re still on and working. It seems when there cold they become stiff and smear.
Average at best. Put a set on '18 GMC 2500 & '10 Ram 2500. Both drivers side are not good in rain. For the price they are fine but would rather pay extra & get something better. Would not purchase again.
These are super nice they work great!

They are still on the job and just cleaned them and are working fine.
So comments, the issue with the blades are they do not conform to the shape of the window well and so it ends up missing places specifically at the top and bottom and then they can be very noisy when it is just a mist or light rain.
Love this item. performs as expected. will certainly purchase another set when the time is right for replacement
This is a great product. I will say I ran into some streaking issues about 6 months in but I'm still giving 5 stars because I should have gotten the heavy duty. The bugs in the south are just a little too much for the platinum long term. But I'm going to be sticking with the brand! Before the bugpocalypse these worked perfect and were easy to install.
They seem to streak worse than ether Rain x or Bosch. Really not that impressed with the product
Did not last
Jay F was hands down the best. Never heard of Scrub Blades before, now I have no idea how I've lived without them. Thank you. Kudos to Jay.

The greatest thing I never knew I needed. Jay F is the best.
The Bottom 3-4 inches of the blades don't make contact with the windshield while driving. Tried changing sides and everything i could think of. They just don't work.
These worked fine for a bit but when the rains started back up this year the blades were just awful. They would move some water off the windshield but they became impossibly noisy, streaky, and could not keep up with heavy rain. I see why they were on super duper sale and they got a ride to the trash bin today. Replaced these with higher end Bosch blades and the noise, smearing, and chattering is all gone. Going to go yank the other set I bought off my old Dodge as they haven't worked worth a damn from the get go.
These work excellent and the quality is superb !!!!

Absolutely fantastic- just like new !
do not work very well at all. they stutter across the windows and leave spots not wiped.
Thanks for reaching out - have mixed reviews. Two different shipments means a negative environmental impact. And the wiper blade (single, was thinking it was 2 blades) came in an unbelievably over-sized box. The chains, however, came appropriately packaged and look good, but haven't tested.
So I'd give the overall order a 3 out of 5.
Garbage wiper blades. They don't keep my windshield clean... not since day 1. Will never buy again.
I just went through the carwash with these wipers on my Ram 3500. While passing through the air dryer, it actually blew the wiper right off of the arm. I had to pull outside and go back into the car wash and retrieve my drivers' side wiper. Not accepatble
they did not last very long rubber started separating from the blade
i will not buy these blades again
Excellent, way better than the WeatherTech rain guards I had on there before.

After one year using these blades, I am VERY pleased with the quality, performance and wear that these blades provide. I will DEFINITELY replace with the same when that time comes.
