Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look together at this TowSmart Adapter with LED Illuminator. Now, if you're hooking up a trailer at dusk or in low light, this adapter's gonna make life a lot easier for you. This is going to plug right into your seven-blade socket, no rewiring or tools are needed. And then instantly, this is going to either give you a five-flat or four-flat connector, whichever your trailer uses. So, even if you're switching between trailers, one might have a five or one might have a four, or five or four, I think I got that right.
You're gonna be ready to go with this adapter, but it does have the added benefit of having a built-in LED. So what I want to do is I've got a box here, a power box here that I wanna plug this into, just to give you a brief demonstration. So I'm gonna plug that in, make sure it's tight. So, like I said, one of the nicest features is the built-in LED. This is going to light up when your taillights are on, giving you a quick visual check that the connection is live.
So I'm gonna go ahead and kick on the taillights, and hopefully you can see that light right there. So taillights are on, taillights off. Taillights on, taillights off. And let me go ahead and see if I can shut my studio lights off here real quick, and hopefully it'll stay focused. So, I'm gonna kick that on and then you can still see that lit up.
So, that doesn't communicate too clearly over the camera, but it does. In the dark, it does light up most of the housing. And so that's a very nice feature that you can just have a quick check to make sure that your taillights are working. But this is going to give you all of those essential signals, the brake lights, the turn signals, the taillights, reverse, and ground. So everything is going to function just like it should.
Let me get this box out of the way. So, I really do like some of the innovative things that TowSmart does with their adapter. So that LED indicator is a nice touch. And let me get my ruler here real quick, just to give you a quick check of the overall length. It looks like we're sitting pretty close to 3 1/2 inches, let's call it at 3 1/2 inches, but it's very durable. The housing's very durable, so I think it's gonna hold up really well for you. There's tethered caps here on the four and five-way to keep them protected when they're not in use, which is a great touch. So overall, this is gonna be a super quick, reliable way to handle mixed trailer plug types, especially if you're trying to get hooked up fast. If you've got any other questions, whether it's about this adapter or anything else that we have here at etrailer, don't hesitate to reach out 'cause we wanna make sure that you're getting exactly what you need.
