Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this CURT T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. Now this harness has been specifically designed to fit you in 1973 to 1984 Chevrolet, and GMC Blazers, CK Series pickups and suburbans. Now on custom fit parts such as this harness, I do recommend taking advantage of our vehicle fit guide. Simply input the year, make and model of your vehicle and our fit guide will confirm if this will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you.

Now this harness is going to give you a 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. The back of your vehicle to power your trailer signal lights. This is also going to be compatible with 5-Pole, 6-Pole and 7-Pole adapters. And those adapters are sold separately. And as you already saw, this does include a dust cap for that four pole flat connector.

And so this dust cap is gonna cover up those connection points when this plug is not in use, keeping it free from moisture, dirt and debris. Now this custom fit T-connector is going to plug into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind your rear bumper, along the driver's side frame rail. This is gonna be a very simple installation. Once you have this plugged in, you will need to make a good ground connection. This ground wire is this white wire here with this ring terminal attached to it.

It does come with a self-tapping screw as you can see there. So you can get this grounded to a suitable location such as your vehicle's frame or crossmember. You do wanna make sure that the surface is clean and rust-free. Then any slack that you might have in your wiring after installation can be secured with the mini cable ties that's included with this kit. And once the installation is complete, this four-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle near the trailer hitch.

A mounting bracket is recommended to keep the connector secure, and so you can find those mounting bracket options here at etrailer.com. Instructions are included to guide you through that installation process. It is also recommended that you use a small amount of dielectric grease on all of your electrical connections, like the plug on the vehicle, and the 4-Pole connector itself. That grease is designed to help prevent electrical failures caused by corrosion and moisture. So on your screen, I am including our item number for that grease.
