Today we're going to review part number VX-HH7. This is the Vision X H7 halogen headlight bulbs. Premium white in color. These are high wattage bulbs and this part number is for a quantity of two. Now they do come to you in this nice hard plastic case to protect the bulbs from any damage. You just pop them open, you get access to the bulbs. A note that I just want to mention to you is when you do handle these bulbs it's best to handle them by the base, or the metal part.
You don't really want to grab them by the bulb itself. Let's just pull one out. And the reason that is, is if you get all . Everybody's hands will have oil residue on them. So when you touch the glass bulb that oil from your hands will transfer to that glass bulb.
Then what ends up happening is when you go to install this and turn it on, it's a very high temperature bulb, so when it heats up that oil could cause the glass to crack or shatter. So when you do handle them try make sure they handle them by either the metal or plastic portion of the bulb themselves. Now these are a high wattage halogen bulb, which will replace your vehicles factory headlight bulbs. Gives you improved brightness and increase visibility. This one gives off a premium white light which will shine about 45% brighter and up to about 40% further than your factory bulbs. And the nice thing is that light will reflect better off of road signs, markers, along the highway.
It's a high color temperature which improves visibility. Also promotes driver awareness, increases the depth perception, and reduces your eye strain, and fatigue. These bulbs are a durable, long lasting, construction. Has a 250 hour lifespan. They are a fast and easy installation, you can see right down here, you just plug these in to your vehicles existing headlamp sockets. Now these being a high wattage these are 100 watts.
Basically we do recommend to use the Putco harness and relay, we do sell that separately, and it is listed on the product page for this part number as a related product. That's part number P239007HW and basically although the harness and relay is not required when you use this light it is recommended. The reason it is recommended is because the wire that's used to make that harness has a thicker gauge than the wire in your vehicle's factory harness. And that thicker wire is preferred for these higher wattage bulbs. The result is the bulbs burn brightly, or more brightly, and they give a greater measure of safety so there is no heat related damage. A few specs on this. This part number does come as a quantity of 2 bulbs. The bulb type is H7. Again these are high wattage bulbs, it's 100 watts at 12 volts. The brightness on them is 900 lumens and the color temperature of the bulb is 4800 degrees kelvin. This does come with a 1 year warranty. While these new bulbs absolutely are brighter than the original OEM bulbs, they weren't exactly what I was expecting. I thought they were the super bright blu"ish" colored lights that I'm seeing on other cars coming at me these days. So my expectations were a little off but that doesn't change the fact that these are as advertised and are definitely brighter.
etrailer delivered the package before time indicated. there was no damage and the bulbs worked. They were installed in a 2011 BMW R1200 GSA motorcycle. I have yet to take it for a spin at night but they should be better than stock bulbs and they have a lifetime warranty
