Hello, neighbor, Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our Sylvania H13ST SilverStar Bulb for your headlights. Now, folks, this replaces that standard equipment, the 65 to 55 watt halogen headlight bulbs with the exact same fit and specifications as your OEMs. Now, this does produce a wider and brighter beam, and it's going to give you defined-edge area at a greater distance and better contrast. The 4,000 kelvin color temperature emits a sharp, balanced white color compared to the standard 3,200 kelvins. It's recommended you replace your bulbs as a pair, so both of 'em at the same time.
That just keeps the brands the same, but also keeps the consistent light level and colors and the beam pattern matching up. Now, these are a simple plug-and-play option, so you plug in the harness to the back part there, and most times you're simply pushing these into a socket, the headlight, and rotating 'em to lock 'em in place, and then you're twisting the old one out to get it out, but double-check that with your Owner's Manual in your vehicle to make sure. And you also want to never touch the glass of the bulbs, so you wanna make sure you're wearing gloves. That way, oils and stuff don't get transferred to the bulbs and potentially lessen their lifespan. Folks, these meet all DOT regulations.
They are legal for on-road use for everyday use, and again, a simple plugin and go. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.
I’m a big fan of these bulbs. They have a bit more of a daylight color to them. The factory bulbs were more of a warm color. The brightness difference was noticeable immediately, especially in the garage. We took a test drive and noticed the difference a little bit, but I’m still happy with them.
In the attached photo, I replaced the passenger side light first to show the color difference.
The install on a 2019 Kia Sorento was extremely easy. You just twist the bulb cover off, twist the socket out and pull out the bulb, then do everything in reverse. Very easy.
