Speaker 1: Today on our 1976 Ford F250 we're going to be taking a look at showing you how to install the 7" Optronics replacement headlamp for optibright sealed beam to LED conversion kit, part number HLL93HLB.Also, available in a pack of two with part number HLL93HLB-2.This is what our lights are going to look like when they're installed. What these are going to do is they're going to replace your old worn out lights with a more high quality, efficient light. These lights are going to offer read facing LEDs and a metallic, parabolic reflector, which create a broad smooth beam. These lights are going to be a seven inch. They are goin to offer a 30,000 hour life span. They have a high and low beam built in. These are going to have a durable surface mount technology construction of LED circuit board, which better withstands shock and vibration and allows for improved heat distribution. There are going to work with 12 and 24 volt DC systems. Dicast aluminum housing, which is rust proof.
They're also going to be DOT compliant. With a Phillips screw driver we're going to have three screws that are going to remove this retaining ring. You want to retain these screws because we're going to be putting them back in.We'll pull our light out like this and on the back side, we're going to have a three prong plug. My hand was a little bit too big to get in there so I just use the end of the screw driver just to kind of pull it off enough where I can fit it back there. Now I'm just cleaning this plug off. If it's too bad you can replace them. This plug doesn't look bad it just looks like it's got a lot of dirt on it.
I'm just taking a little screw driver and just scraping it off. Try to keep the screw driver away from your connection there. One thing that I'm going to suggest, if you're going to be putting new lights in, if these are the original rings that are on your lights, I would suggest replacing them. These tabs are just held on by a little bitty weld spot and if there are old these will fall off very easy. This is the only thing that holds your headlight into that housing. Get our light plugged in and it's going to plug in to your existing wiring. Then take our new ring, reinstall our screws for our ring.
Go ahead and tighten them up.You'll notice right here at the top it's going to say top so you know where the top of the bulb is. So you know which way when you put them in, which side is going to be the top. That'll do it for the Optronics 7" replacement headlamp for optibrights sealed beam to LED conversion kit, part number HLL93HLB on our 1967 Ford F250.
The headlights were nice, the shipping was excellent, the electrical connections were plug and play as well. The only downside is that the lights are not that great. The light is super bright and has a nice white color, but the light beam itself is very streaky. It looks good in the garage, but on the road it is incredibly hard to see the pavement when driving.
Help from Lori was great. I called Optronic's to see if head lights would fit my Jeep. Person on phone told me they didn't know and offered no additional help. Discovered etrailer carried these so called them. Lori didn't know, so she called Optronics tech support, found out they did, called me back, and placed the order. All was completed within 20 minutes. Lights arrived in 3 days. Good price as well. A COMPANY AND PERSON THAT UNDERSTANDS CUSTOMER SERVICE. Thanks Lori, great job!!
Also worked with etrailer last summer to replace all lights on my enclosed trailer. Upgraded to LED. Had the same excellent service. Thanks etrailer.

Honestly I tried a couple of different things but the light pattern on both lights were not solid, more of a streak pattern. They are currently being stored in my tool box to hopefully be used successfully in another project.
