Ether Injection System

This ether fuel injection system offers a hassle-free way to get fast, reliable startups in cold weather. Once activated, a measured shot of ether is vaporized and sent into your intake manifold. This vapor serves as a catalyst for combustion, helping to ensure that your engine starts on the first try, even in cold temperatures. The system connects to your battery and only requires 6.5 volts to operate. Because you power it on with your vehicle instead of plugging it in, it is ideal for tractors, logging equipment, and other vehicles and machinery that can't be parked close to an outlet. Once the system is installed, there's nothing else that you need to do to maintain the system other than change out the fuel canister, which will need to be done after approximately 200 startups. This system is designed to work with an 18-oz canister of ether fast flash fuel (not included).

Ether Start Fluid Injection System

Automatic Operation

This Ether Start fuel injection system is automatically triggered when you turn the ignition in your vehicle. There's no need for a button or a knob to be mounted in your cab for activation. A thermostat is included to ensure that ether will only be injected in conditions that call for it. When you turn the ignition in your vehicle, the starter sends an electric current to the Ether Start's thermostat. If the ambient temperature is above 50 degrees Fahrenheit, then your engine should turn over normally and no ether will be dispensed. If it is below 50 F, the electrical current will continue to the actuating valve assembly where the ether will be released from the fuel canister into a separate metering chamber. This chamber meters out 5 - 6 cc of liquid ether and disperses it through the nozzle. The nozzle's built-in filter vaporizes the ether, which is then injected into the intake manifold as a vapor instead of a stream. For the most effective and smoothest start, install this system so that the nozzle orifice is perpendicular to the manifold length.

  • Is There An Engine Block Heater That Is Compatible With A 2001 Toyota Sequoia
Yes, we do offer two different options. The second option is the Kat's Heaters Ether Start Fluid Injection System - 3.3L to 4.9L Engine - 12V - 18 oz - Automatic, part # KH33220. I have included product description links and a video link below.

  • Can Block Heater Be Installed on 2014 GMC Acadia
To help with starting up your 2014 GMC Acadia in the cold months you'll need a Kat's Heaters Ether Start Fluid Injection System. For your vehicle we have this available with a pull cable as part # KH33180 or an automatic system with part # KH33220. These kits inject ether fuel into your intake manifold as opposed to having a heating element that heats up your engine block so the location is your intake manifold. From what I'm seeing there isn't a classic block heater for your Acadia so...
