Today were going to review part number DZ77. This is the DeeZee Specialty Series Underbody Toolbox. This is silver in color. This underbody box is ideal for storage under your flatbed truck, your dump truck or your trailer body. Its made of a rust proof bright tread aluminum construction. It is rectangular in design and again, is an underbody style.
It has the single dropdown door. As you can see it drops down from top to bottom and it has the chains on each side that prevent the lid from totally falling down. This will provide easy access to the cargo inside your toolbox. Here you can see the stainless steel locking T handle latch. You just turn it and push the handle out of the way.
That would keep the lid closed. It can be locked. It does have the two keys here that should just turn it, turn the keys and lock half way. The handle will still open, but it will not turn to release the lid. To open it just turn it the other way half a turn, that will allow you to twist it and open your lid.
You notice right here it actually has a water tight C channel that goes all the way around. On the very front here is a foam bulb seal which will prevent water from entering your box and damaging anything on the inside. This is a very simple installation. This mounts to the underbody of your vehicle and it is required to use the DeeZee Universal Mounting Kit that is sold separately. It is part number DZDD-2502.
Its basically two L-shape brackets that will mount on each end and allows you to bolt it up underneath the body of your vehicle. This part is made in the USA. A few overall dimensions on this, the overall length of this toolbox is 36 inches. The width is going to be 20 inches. The actual height is about 18 inches. The interior capacity is 7 cu ft of space on the inside. This does come with a limited lifetime warranty. Again, just to show you, you close the lid, twist the handle about a quarter of a turn, push it down it keeps the lid in place. To lock it, just turn this lock half a turn. It even has a nice little cover that will cover the lock itself to prevent any dirt or grime from getting inside the lock. Very well made product. Worked perfectly for storage on the rear of our travel trailer.

Has met and surpassed the steel box that was on the truck before I installed this DeeZee box. The fact that I removed a steel box , and put on aluminum concerned me at first. However; A year in I have no doubt that it was the right decision.
i think it's a good tool box, but you need to up grade the chain on the tool box. the one I have the chain has already broken on both sides. we had to redo the chains on the box.
Nice box neatly welded and door sealed great and the brackets for this box fit perfect,thanks etrailer
Utility box on my camper. This will be a great place to store power cord,water hoses and blocks and a lot easier to get too.
i returned the brackets and fashioned my own since one size didn't fit all.
the aluminum cargo bays (one on each side) are a great addition- glad i got them they are very handy and always in use.

The thickness of aluminum is great value for the price.
They look descent but honestly the quality is not there for the price. The chain system for holding the door in place and door side bracket they use to mount it, JUNK, cheap and poorly done. The chain was hooked to a drilled hole with about 1/8" of aluminum to hold it on. It ripped right through there the 2nd day and litterally only from the weight of its own door. The door reveal is also off and it would take bending the doors to straighten them out which i don't want to risk breakage. Not water tight as the door does not seal all the way around because of the door being off. They look good but are a little on the cheap side as far as quality.
