Today we're going to be taking a look at part number 7164183UB. These are the trailer square U-bolts. Trailer U-bolts are going to be ideal for your boat, snowmobile, and standard utility trailers. They're going to be great for many different applications when it comes to attaching items to your square trailer frame. These U-bolts are going to be made with a metal construction. They're going to have a nice zinc plating on them, so they're going to stand up well against rust and corrosion.
They offer the nice square bin that simplifies attachment of your hardware to your square trailer frame. The unit's going to come with two U-bolts, four flat washers, and four lock nuts. We're just going to go over some of the dimensions real quick of the U-bolts. Each one's going to be identical. The distance that we have between the actual bolts, so from this point here to this point here, that looks like it's going to give us a measurement of about four and one-eighth of an inch. The diameter of the bolt itself, that's going to give us a measurement of seven-sixteenths of an inch.
Measuring from the inside bottom edge to the end of the threaded portion is going to give us a measurement of three inches. Then the length of just the threaded portion, that's going to give us a measurement of about two and one-sixteenth of an inch. The distance that we have between the bolts on center, that's going to give us a measurement of four and five-eighths of an inch. That's going to do it for today's review of part number 7164183UB.

My brother could't find correct size U bolts anywhere. I easily found em for him and received them from etrailer in no time. He said they fit perfectly and work great!
Strong hardware and good quality of har dware.
The distance between the holes do not match the U-Bolts.. only a couple mm off... but off.. I am underwhelmed as I specifically asked if they would work.
I had to drill out the holes to make them bigger as the U-Bolt doesn't fit correctly as-is. Hard to show in pictures but I think you can see the issue.
I tried to upload the pictures but they would not upload so I am emailing them separately.
Fortunately, drilling the holes bigger seems to have solved the issue, but that really should not have been necessary, especially as I double checked that this plate would work with these u-bolts.

Though I have not had the opportunity to tow much distance since replacing the trailer parts, everything went together well and and is of good quality.
I had to replace several sets of u-bolts on an old trailer where even soaking the old bolts in PB Blaster for a week didn't help. Now I can adjust the bunk rails easily like they should operate. Good quality and price.
I ordered replacement u bolts, leaf springs and keel roller. Everything was an exact replacement part. This makes repairs/upgrade easy direct parts replacement. No modifying at all.
I had a hard time finding just the right u-bolts to replace my old rollers, and these were the closest I could find to the right size. Would have been better if they were galvanized, but I can't fault eTrailer.com for that ... nobody else seemed to have them either.
